Last night, my fiancé, grandparents, and I had the pleasure of dining at Link and Pin, a modern and stylish restaurant that instantly captivated us. As we stepped inside, we were greeted by the restaurant manager, Jerome, who exuded warmth and hospitality, setting the perfect tone for our evening.
We started our culinary adventure with the filet mignon, a true masterpiece that delighted our taste buds. The moment we cut into the steak, its tender and juicy texture revealed itself, perfectly cooked to our liking. The rich flavor of the high-quality cut of meat was enhanced by the expertly balanced seasoning, leaving us in awe. It was a true symphony of flavors that lingered on our palates.
Next, we ventured into the realm of vegetarian delights with the cauliflower bowl dish—a revelation in itself. The cauliflower, cooked to perfection, maintained a delightful crunch that harmonized with the medley of seasonings. Each bite was an explosion of flavors and textures, elevating this humble vegetable to new heights. It was a testament to the culinary prowess of the chefs at Link and Pin.
Our exploration continued with the salmon salads, and we were blown away by their amazing presentation and taste. The salmon, flawlessly cooked, flaked apart effortlessly, revealing its moist and delicate flesh. The fresh and vibrant salad ingredients complemented the fish, creating a perfect balance of flavors. Every forkful was a delightful symphony that left us craving for more.
Saving the best for last, we indulged in the tender pork chops, which proved to be a true highlight of the evening. The perfectly cooked chops showcased the culinary skills of the chefs. Each bite revealed succulent and flavorful meat that practically melted in our mouths. The expert seasoning elevated the dish, ensuring an unforgettable dining experience.
Throughout the evening, our wonderful waitress, Camila, provided impeccable service. Her attentiveness, knowledge, and ever-present smile enhanced our dining experience. Camila's spot-on recommendations added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal, making us feel truly pampered.
Overall, our experience at Link and Pin was nothing short of outstanding. The modern and stylish ambiance of the restaurant combined with the culinary masterpieces presented to us made for a memorable evening. The unforgettable filet mignon, the remarkable cauliflower bowl dish, the amazing salmon salads, and the mouthwatering pork chops all contributed to an exceptional dining experience. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Jerome, the restaurant manager, and Camila, our outstanding waitress, for their exceptional service. We eagerly anticipate our return to Link and Pin, where we can once again indulge in their culinary delights and create...
Read moreSo Disappointing. The first two times we dined here it was very good, with some small opportunities. The last two? Less impressive, and today, not good at all. While one hostess and one manager were personable and doing their best it was poor starting with the phone call. No reservations or call ahead seating, quoted thirty minute wait time. But…the grumpy hostess could have told us that there is online reserving available. She wasn’t just unhelpful (training?) she was also rude. When we arrived we were told it was thirty minutes. Only three tables in the dining room, and lots of seating available on the patio. Rudely (same phone call grumpy hostess) told that our party size couldn’t be accommodated on the patio. Five people by the way. Really? What’s the idea there? Seated and waited 7 (seven) minutes to be greeted. At this time there was only one other table in the entire dining room. Waitress took our drink order, and…disappeared for over ten minutes. One of us flagged down a hostess (the nice one) to ask the waitress to come and take our orders. The waitress was very nice, but very unorganized, slow and had difficulty attending to details. Refills-slow. Condiments forgotten. Check back-too late (our hostess heroine was on the job again). Restaurant full service business is very difficult to pull off well. This concept is well designed, the menu is well thought out too. But the down hill slide on execution doesn’t bode well for the future. We’ll be looking at other options next time we go out in this area. UPDATE 5/16/2022 Received a phone call from management apologizing. Above expectations to receive a personal contact with sincere interest. Although it was not the goal for leaving a critical review, we were offered a gift certificate in the mail. Here, a month later nothing in the mail. Seems to match up with the issues identified in the original review. Promised restitution/comp for below standard experiences or products is one thing. Not following through is another. This restaurant is not inexpensive, and there are plenty of options at this price point...

We’ve lived in the area for many years, and somehow Link & Pin in the Arboretum had slipped under our radar—until now. We had the pleasure of visiting this weekend, and from the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the warmth, kindness, and truly outstanding food.
Our server, Alex, was nothing short of phenomenal. From the very start, he made us feel genuinely welcome—not just in that surface-level way, but with a warmth and attentiveness that felt sincere and rare. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offered thoughtful recommendations tailored to our tastes, and managed that perfect balance of being available without hovering. His timing, demeanor, and professionalism were flawless, and he added a personal touch that elevated our entire experience. Honestly, Alex is the kind of server every restaurant dreams of having. He turned a great meal into an unforgettable evening.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was another unexpected delight. My husband is hard of hearing, and he often struggles in noisy environments—but here, the noise level was just right. We could enjoy a real conversation without having to raise our voices, which made the evening that much more enjoyable.
We were seated quickly, and our food arrived promptly—piping hot, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. This was hands-down some of the best-tasting food we’ve had since moving to Charlotte. Every dish exceeded our expectations.
We also appreciated the manager stopping by our table to check in. He was kind, professional, and clearly passionate about the guest experience. That kind of leadership shows—and it’s reflected in the entire team. We highly recommend Link & Pin—though honestly, once more people discover this place, getting a table might become a bit of a challenge (and deservedly so!).
Trust us—you won’t regret your experience here. And if you can, ask for Alex. He truly...
