McDonald's — Restaurant in Charlotte

Open 24 hours is a joke! I bar tend so I occasionally come here after work between 2 am and 4 am. Every time I come, including right now (415 am on 11/12/17), it’s always another reason why they can’t serve you. Right now they are only taking cash (very shady) which isn’t the first time I’ve heard that one. They can only serve what they already have made, their system is down etc etc. Based on some of the other reviews here this just doesn’t happen to me. I don’t eat fast food often but at this time of night and just getting out of work my options are limited. These type of issues have been going on here for several years now. Being in the food industry as a bar tender the last 18 years I don’t understand how this staff is still employed! I literally ordered 15 mins ago and now I’m at the window and the lady came up and asked me “what do you want?” After ordering a second time she comes back and says “$3.50” she takes my money and doesn’t go to a computer but a till just sitting on the counter! Pretty sure that’s called “padding the drawer.” You charge someone then don’t ring it in, you just put the cash in the till and at the end of your shift you will be over that amount which you then pocket. I’ve seen this done a million times from bar tenders (who always get caught and wind up looking for a job!). Like I said this has been going on at this location for years so I don’t understand how they all have jobs still! The only thing that is good about this place is how comical the service is. I drive for Uber and Lyft and I stop here often because I am always in the South Blvd area. I don't want to go there anymore but I cant help myself from wanting to see what idiotic thing will happen next. There is no doubt that as a customer you are totally inconveniencing most of the workers in the place who just want to be left alone to do their own thing. I have been the only person inside the place before and I am not kidding when I say my order got overlooked and this has happened many times. On one visit the only person out of six or seven who seemed to care what was going on was a cook in the back. He came out and took my order, made my burgers, got my fries and he gave me an apple pie and extra fries because he felt sorry for me. The location of this place is fantastic, but to be honest it is being destroyed by the rude, but unknown to them, funny employees. The manager there this evening, Duncan or something like that was so incredibly rude to me. He took my order while talking past me to someone he knew inside the store and he gave me my order while doing the same with another employees son who came in looking for a job. My boyfriend and I placed an online order to pick up in the designated mobile order parking spaces. We live across the street and walked there and waited. After noticing several cars go through the drive thru and get their order, we decided to go up to the door and knock to make sure our order was received. The lady that came to the door was very curt and short and did not try to help us at all. She kept saying we MUST go through the drive thru and that we HAVE to have a car....okay well what if i dont have a car? We placed our order and it was already paid for.just make it, and hand it to us. Easy for everyone. We were wearing masks, she was not, so I doubt that was the issue. When we tried to gwt more info on what we can do to get our food she literally closed the door in our faces and went back to the drive thru window. That had me fuming. Not willing to fight any further, we just left without our dinner. I cannot believe the app would allow us to place an order and use the mobile pick up spots, if its not actually available. I also cannot believe the (nonexistent)level of service we recieved from the associate. It could not have been that hard to grab some pre made sandwiches and nuggets, throw some fries in a container, and hand them to us. Especially since our order was already submitted and paid for. So...
