Paris Baguette — Restaurant in Charlotte

The concept of this place is nice, but the execution is terrible. The staff is one of the worst I’ve encountered. Mostly teenagers who clearly aren’t trained and don’t know what they’re doing. The place isn’t very sanitary either. I saw multiple flies in the cases, and they’re practically out of everything before 5 PM.

When I asked for my pastry to be heated up, the employee left it in so long that the frosting completely melted off the donut. I was going to complain, but they’d already given me attitude when I ordered a pumpkin drink. On top of that, they don’t even ask about rewards and actually made me pay for an extra bag of chips just to use the app for a free pastry. Also there’s no reason a donut should be $10. And a disgusting coffee $8?? That’s more than Starbucks.

The staff always looks “busy” but the line moves incredibly slow. The drinks are mediocre at best the coffee is awful, and it’s clear no one is trained properly. To make it worse, employees have their hair down and don’t wear gloves while handling pastries, which is just gross.

This place is completely overhyped and not worth going out of your way for. If you want something similar with far better service and quality, I recommend Tous Les Jours. I definitely won’t...

Don’t get your hopes up. The extensive menu they feature online is not available. I have gone 4x and the items I want (chocolate croissant + strawberry croissant) are not available. When I asked when they might be available I was told, “not anytime soon.” I was also discouraged from buying a coffee from the staff (after waiting in line for some time) because their baristas were backed up and they didn’t know when it would be ready. I understand that these things happen but I wish I would have known before getting all the way to the register. I have also tried calling before going in to see if menu items are available and no one will answer. I’m so disappointed because I was ready for this to be my coffee/breakfast stop...
