We just had the worst experience at Salata. It started right when we entered the door to a completely wet floor with no signs 40 minutes before they were closing. The lettuce was almost complete empty, and the worker did not replace it even when I asked. But the worst part happened when my daughter ate a hard piece of plastic that was in her salad. After she thankfully spit out the sharp plastic piece, I took it to the manager. It turns out that he was a “shift manager,” and he (Daniel) was completely clueless. He was stunned when I showed him the plastic and honestly had no clue what to say or do. All he said was “we’ll make note of that. It probably came from a container.” There was no apology, no question asking if my daughter was okay, and no offer to do anything to try to help the situation. It’s sad because we like Salata, but we won’t ever be returning. My daughter could have choked on the hard plastic or cut her throat or esophagus. Daniel could’ve cared less. Very bad customer service and quality control. Choose wisely before you go to Salata...
Read moreIt's ok - very pricey. Prices are not listed on the website (unless you order online) so I didn't know before going in. I got steak so that was $16, plus $1.50 for a SLICE of avocado, so my total was over $18. I wasn't expecting that.
As far as the salad itself, it's ok. The steak isn't cut small enough for bites so I have to dig through and cut up each piece. The tomatoes are diced very small, like for pico de gallo, so that's not great for a salad when you have to eat them with a fork.
I tried 2 dressings and both were good, and the employee did look through the avocados to make sure I got a fresh slice. They didn't have some of the toppings I normally like from salad places, like pickled onions, but they did have salmon (which I really like on salad but have never seen at a salad restaurant) so that was unique and I may go back to try the salmon with a different dressing.
Overall it's overpriced for the size. If I do go back to try the salmon I will at least know that ahead of time, but this won't be a regular lunch...
Read moreLeaving this review for awareness. I’m a frequent customer of Salata because I enjoy the healthier options however I think customers particularly people of color should be aware. I visited this location several times with my children and asked about the kids meal and was told that kids meal is the Bantu box which only includes a few pieces of fruit and a side of crackers with cheese. (Limited options no lettuce) Understood. I decided to patronize this business again only to see that a white male in front of me with his 2 kids also had the kids meal but unlike I was told about the minimum option’s he was not. They were just causally filling up his “kids meal” with small salads similar to the adult bowls. When I asked again about the kids meal the girl proceeded to tell me that normally lettuce isn’t included for the kids meal but I could get lettuce. Comical. No I won’t be getting lettuce and I also won’t be eating here anymore. We know that these rules only apply to us but I love when it’s so open and...
