Absolutely unhelpful and unprofessional staff; horrendous return policies, and intentional misrepresentation of sales and policies in order to sell products the customer does not want. Best Buy is within a 5 minute drive and offers identical pricing on games and systems with a return policy that isn't set in the stone ages. Even better deals can be found at Amazon for those willing to wait 2 days for delivery and receive only the products you want; not those you were manipulated into purchasing. I have shopped at Game stops all around the country and spent thousands due to the convenience; and and after my last experience at this store trying to return a completely unused system purchased 2 days prior. Staff will do everything in their power to not only deny returns for completely new products, but also manipulate used systems during the trade in process to invent reasons to give reduced trade in values. I recommend anyone considering a purchase at game stop to consider literally any other retailer before contributing money to a company that makes their money by ripping off and lying to customers with a smile...
Read morei just moved to the area and decide to pre order a game at this location instead of traveling 30 minutes to my old store... i had recieved text messages a couple days prior stating to come in before 11 oclock pm to finalize payment and to recieve at 30% increase on games traded in. i arrive at 10 pm to be told not to worry about it and to do it at midnight and there will be about 30-40 people... i arrive back at 12:10 AM to see 3 employees standing around and the door locked.... i called and spoke to a so called manager. who was down right rude. she stated that they only have to stay open ten minutes after the last customer leaves... and that the 30 % increase will not be valid tomorow morning... i will never walk into this store again after tommorow when i refund all my...
Read moreWould rate less if it were possible, GameStop lies to it's customers, and it's investors. Don't believe me? try getting out of there without them trying to do whatever possible to get you out without a "used" game or a PowerUp card you don't want. At this point I'd drop some cash just to place a bet on how long it'll take them to either A) get a lawsuit, or B) fail completely as a company if that were doable; could probably make a fair bit of money. Honestly, save yourself the nightmare and just get your games either digitally, through places like eBay, amazon, etc, or just....anywhere else really. Not worth the gas to go here, or even the energy to go across the complex to their store if you're already in the area. In all reality, they get a -5...
