I am absolutely mortified by the conduct of the staff I witnessed today. I came in with my coworkers to pick up lunch. I had a call in order to pick up but also decided to purchase a cookie while I was there. The other two placed their orders at the register. My first encounter with poor customer service was during my interaction at the register. Instead of "hi how are you?" I was first ignored while the women turned around to handle something behind her, and when she turned back around to face me she simply stared at me waiting for my order. She was not the image of cleanliness or professionalism. Her arms were covered in some sort of body glitter, and she had extremely long acrylic nails that I am sure violate health code in some way shape or form. However, I completed my transaction and took a seat while my coworkers waited for their food. One of the orders placed had specific instructions to leave off the cheese and sauce as both are dairy type products and my coworker is vegan. This exclusion of such ingredients was CLEARLY noted verbally to the cashier and as a result CLEARLY written on the ticket. The issue does not lie with a simple human error of a cook who put the sauce on the food, it lies with two cashiers and the General Manager (as she claimed herself to be). The cashier whom I mentioned early in this review was the individual whom my coworker addressed the issue with. She began to question her and ask for her receipt, not in a way as to verify perhaps if the issue lie with the cashier or the cook, but instead to verify if the customer had in fact clearly communicated her order, her attitude and overall demeanor confirms this was reasoning behind asking for the receipt (mind you my coworker JUST placed the order with the cashier located at the register next to her). Despite my coworker approaching the situation calmly with a low tone as to keep the situation isolated, the attitude of the cashier only escalated the situation, so my coworker requested to speak to the manager. When this request was communicated the original cashier whom took the order began to giggle and snicker. The manager was also not only incredibly rude but attempting to dictate where my coworker stood in the restaurant, telling her she needed to take a seat and wait for her food despite there being NOT ONE SINGLE customer behind her. The conduct of your staff is disgusting, the appearance of your staff is the furthest thing from professional or clean. I find it utterly humorous that your app states "Not sure where to go, Just ask any of our friendly staff members where to pick up your order." If there is a friendly staff member in there, we surely did not have the luxury of interacting with them today. Take pride in your establishment and treat people with respect. Read moreI ordered online. I received a text confirmation. Then I received a text that read "Your delivery has been canceled. Please reach out to Showmars directly." I called the store. No answer. So I order from another more reliable restaurant. There order came with no problem. 10 minutes after new order received, I receive text that my delivery from Showmars was on it's way. Sigh. Then foreign speaking delivery person called my cell phone saying "Church?" "Next to Church?" Near Church?" I try to explain to him which building to go to and how to enter the Church parking lot (where I work) but he just keeps yelling "Church?". Finally texted his number and asked him to return the order to the restaurant. 15 minutes later he has finally found the door to the Church, taken three photos of the food on the counter in front of me, and has left. Between the restaurant confusion and the driver confusion, I would recommend not ordering for delivery but instead pick up food in person. Read moreI had to come back and add more to my review because it just wasn't good enough. Showmars' food is so delicious! I always seem to get the fish and/or shrimp, but in reading several other reviews I'm now anxious to try a burger and a salad with their homemade ranch dressing. The manager at this location is the most friendly and nicest person. But the entire staff there is great! Super nice, friendly, and enjoyable place to eat an awesome meal! I love their onion rings -- so delicious and crispy. Their hush puppies are delicious. Lots of places do not have good hush puppies, but Showmars does them great. Their cole slaw is also delicious. That's another side that a lot of places do not do well. I am a very frequent patron, both in person and using delivery. Truly, the more I eat there the more I want to keep on eating there.
