The ambiance of the restaurant is quite pleasant, and even the restrooms are well-maintained. I had the opportunity to meet Shelby and another gentleman whose name I did not catch. I am uncertain if I visited at the most opportune time, as the cook had left, and they were awaiting the arrival of a replacement, which may have led to some issues with my appetizer. This was my first visit, so I cannot be entirely sure.
I ordered the Buffalo chicken dip, which consisted solely of buffalo sauce and shredded chicken, lacking any cream cheese or creamy flavor. The overall taste was overpowering and rather unappetizing. However, I appreciated that they brought me freshly made tortilla chips to replace the stale ones, demonstrating their commitment to customer satisfaction under the circumstances. Additionally, I ordered the Wagyu burger with fries. The onion jam was exceptional, likely the best sauce I have ever encountered. The brioche bun was well-suited for the burger, as it did not become soggy despite the considerable amount of juice and sauce. The fries were also exquisite. Overall, I have no substantial complaints and commend the staff for maintaining their professionalism despite the challenges posed by the absent cook. While I typically prefer to try new items rather than reorder, I can only hope that the dip was a result of an atypical day in...
Read moreThis place looks very cool and I drive by all the time because I live less than a mile away, and I've been curious about it because it seems like it's always pretty empty. Well last week I found out why. I walked in with a friend, there were two servers and a guy who seemed to be a manager. The manager was making conversation with a patron at the bar, which is part of hospitality and service, but completely ignored us walking in the door. We stood for a few minutes waiting to be acknowledged, and the manager guy still didn't greet us even after his conversation with the bar guest ended. The servers hadn't yet seen us as they were faced away handling something on the computer. Eventually one of the servers noticed us and let us know we could seat ourselves. We went and sat on the patio and she brought out two menus and two glasses of tap water, one cold and one warm, neither with ice. Please read that again lol, one glass of water was cold and one was warm. She didn't ask if we wanted ice, lemon, anything to make it taste a little less like "Charlotte's finest." We glanced at the menu and saw that a chicken wrap was $17.50 and decided to leave just like we should have as soon as we walked in the door. Now I don't have to wonder why they're always empty because I found...
Read moreWe came here specifically to try the holiday flights because they looked so cute on Instagram! Unfortunately, our experience was incredibly disappointing. From the moment we walked in, the service was slow and unorganized. The waiter told us to find a table, but the only available one had dirty plates on it. After waiting about five minutes, we flagged him down, and he said he’d clean it on his way back from helping another table. Eventually, we just moved the dirty cups ourselves to make space.
We ordered two flights and a martini, but after waiting over 40 minutes, the drinks never arrived. During that time, the waiter never checked on us, and we finished all of our waters while watching other tables—who ordered after us—receive their flights. Frustrated, we told the server to cancel our order and decided to leave. His reaction was indifferent, showing no effort to resolve the situation or apologize.
On the way out, we spoke with who I believe was the manager. He tried to make things right, but by that point, we were ready to leave.
This place has so much potential, and the idea of the holiday flights is really appealing. However, the lack of attentive service and poor organization completely ruined the experience. Such a...
