The Pauline Tea-Bar Apothecary — Restaurant in Charlotte

I can't remember the last time I looked forward to submitting a review this much. I've been meaning to stop by for a while, but there's always a conflict with my work schedule. I finally made it yesterday, Saturday 12-23-23.

The vibe was serene the moment I stepped inside. I'm not sure what I smelled as I was getting ready to order, but I thought for sure I smelled a hint of ginger. The young lady who took my order was pleasant and eager to answer my questions being a first timer. The menu is extensive, especially if you love tea. I liked that there was also a description of both the tea ingredients and how it benefits you. The other lady (assumed it was the owner) was just as pleasant.

I ordered lemon ginger tea and macaroons. Both were delicious as I sipped and took bites while writing in my journal. I was on my way to visit nursing home residents and spread some holiday cheer. This was a perfect way to get in a little self care.

I couldn't stay as long as I wanted to. If it were up to me, I'd have stayed until they closed at 4 pm. They'll be closed from December 24 - January 1, so I know it was God's will for me to go & have this experience to end 2023. This very small YET COMFORTING environment I would never recommend for a party bc it’s not a venue that fits more than 20 maximum. And if you checked them out first. Your experience would have let you known that this is a mediation place and not a party joint. I’m a peace seeker and HAVE FOUND THAT AT Pauline’s. So if you’re loud boisterous or obnoxious then you need to be partying in a club. And the negative reviews reflect exactly why this didn’t go well for you. So please don’t recommend any of your friends or family that have those attitude and unfortunately it’s a lot of us Black women that do this. STOP IT. GIVE PAULINE’S TEA APOTHECARY A TRY. I WILL FOR AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. For as long as I drink tea😉THE TEAS ARE AWESOME. IF YOU KNOW TEAS. THEN YOU KNOW. IF you don’t then you’ll think not. LET US SIP ☕️TO PEACE LOVE AND LIGHT

This is a wonderful space and! I'm glad Charlotte has it it. I immediately felt welcomed walking in here. Background muisc was just right. I love the different types of decor and of seating available. The art throught the space is all local too- love the community support. All the beagizil teacups and teapots ! They infused sugar cubes which I will have to come back and try for sure. There also so nakery items and chips to pair with your tea. You can do a cup or a pot of tea. This is the original location; a second location just opened definitely will try and visit.

The 1st Friday of the month there is live music so I'll have to check out th calendar for 2022.

Out goodie bags came with samples but I also bought a tea tin- comes with 1oz of your tea of choice.
