It was pretty "meh" to be honest, at least when we were there. The greenhouse was closed, and it took us just under two hours to walk through literally every path of the two outdoor areas. Only a few things were blooming yet (during last week of March), so that made it pretty underwhelming with a few pops of color here and there. (Wait till mid-April at least I think, and you'll have more to see.) The other thing was that I felt like half the plants didn't have a label at all. Several were ones I was interested in identifying, but to no avail. It's well maintained, but not that big. Fine if you're in the area already, but don't plan a day trip to see it...
Read moreSmall, but a wonderful place for a picnic, or some reading - full of all sorts of exotic plants. The paths are a bit winding, and there's not much by way of seating, but it's very peaceful.
Unless, of course, the Fraternities have reserved the space to do some kind of initiation ritual, and the sound of drums and chanting and the sight of flickering firelight wake you up in your adjacent dorm room to think some sort of demonic rite is occuring.
But other than that, yeah....
