Im a bit confused about all of the reviews. I decided to try this place based on the excellent reviews and was excited to enjoy some yummy hibachi and shrimp sauce however the food was just OK to me. I ordered the hibachi chicken and an egg roll. The chicken was a bit grizzly and bland and the vegetables were not at all what I thought they would be. I expected some stir fried vegetables but these were luke warm marinated vegetables which tasted like they were heated in a warmer not on the grill. It was weird. The rice was OK but nothing spectacular for fried rice. Shrimp sauce had a decent taste but I have had better. The egg roll was like any typical egg roll you get at a myriad of chinese places. Oh, and they give you an orange which I thought was weird.
The staff was friendly and greeted me promptly. The owners were in the dining room speaking with other patrons which was nice to see. The decor is off. Its actually an odd mix. Part retail store, part restaurant. The dining room is pretty dim and unimpressive.
Overall- OK but I have had better. Maybe my order was a fluke and they had an off day but I cant say that I would return to...
Read moreThe food price is high compared to other fast food hibachi like this place. Shopped next door so was needing to get something for a quick lunch at home. Ordered the hibachi combo steak shrimp and combo steak and calamari, each a little over $16. Told the young male cashier I wanted the steak medium rare. Waited about a good 15 mins. Got the food and went into car. I opened up the food to see how it looked and was super disappointed. The serving was so small in such a big tray! I literally had 6 or 7 pieces of steak (see photo) and fried rice was barely there (very thin layer under the meat and I felt they needed to fill the extra section so put a little there. Lol!)! The steak were super well done which was too dry for me. Only 1 star given becuz shrimp sauce was good but a bit on sweet side. Won't be going back as it didn't fill me up...can't imagine for others who have a bigger appetite than me if they order 2 orders?...
Read moreI recently visited Hanaya Garden and noticed a sign on the door indicating 'no public restrooms.' Although the restrooms were visible and accessible to guests, they were locked. I didn’t inquire about access, assuming they were not available, and had to walk to a nearby 7-Eleven to use their facilities. As someone with a heart rate condition that worsens with physical exertion, this was particularly challenging; my heart rate spiked to 144 bpm.
We had been looking forward to a relaxing meal after a long day of errands, but this situation was quite frustrating. I was under the impression that sit-down restaurants are required by code to provide public restrooms. Additionally, I noticed that the surrounding area seemed quite unsavory, and I observed what appeared to be a drug deal in the parking lot. This added to my discomfort and disappointment...
