So where do I begin. On this day I decided to get some Zaxby's for lunch since I rarely get to leave the office. I've been craving some chicken fingers for a little while so I decided to treat myself on this beautiful Friday. When I got to this Zaxby's location, there was a line wrapped around the building almost twice. So logical thinking, I decided to go inside since there weren't many cars in the parking lot. I figured my order will come out in a decent time if not faster. So I go inside and not only do I see a line of people waiting to get their order taken, I see a ton of people waiting to get their food. So of course it's the lunch rush I'm not making a big deal or fuss about it since I was actually granted an hour of lunch today, but I should have known how bad it was going to be based off of the looks of the people who are waiting for their food. So I pay for my food and since I work 12 to 15 hours a day, I figured I'd get a salad for later. 17 bucks and 47 min later I still haven't received my food. When the cashier gave me my receipt, I looked up and heard another cashier call number 3. I was number 17. I gave the benefit of the doubt, thinking they might me moving fast let's hope I'm not here all day. But of course not. By now 7 customers are thoroughly pissed off and demanding there money back. The manager on duty kept saying it'll be out in 5 seconds, but those 5 seconds were actually another 10 min. The weird part about it, was that he wasnt trying to give everyone there money back. If someone demands a refund and they have every reason to get their money back. The manager on duty needs to honor that request, and give the patron their money back period (within reason because some people are crazy) but at the same time I understand there was frustration on both sides. But at the end of the day the customer's request needs to be honored. So by this time my lunch is just about over and my boss is calling me saying where are you at. I explain to him my situation and told him I will be there very shortly. Finally get my order and I grabbed it and I just leave before the people there get unruly. I get in the car and I decided to check it before I pull out, my fries are just about half frozen, the toast wasn't even cooked all the way, the ends of the chicken were not inspected before they put on my food, I asked for no tomatoes on the salad, and guess what I got tomatoes, on my club I ask for no tomatoes and guess what I got again tomatoes, the cheese wasn't even melted which means the chicken is cold and the chicken was cold so honestly I just want to throw this food out. I understand people work under stress while trying to get things done in a timely manner but there are some things that just are not acceptable. Now don't get me wrong my cashier was very friendly. But the manager told the cashier that they were down some people and we're running a bit behind. I understand that but when I looked behind the counter and see six people back there it's hard for me to believe that I had to wait almost an hour to get my food. And I definitely don't believe it since I used to work at Zaxby's back in the day. It only took three people to run the back for the most part even during rush hour and I worked at the one in Atlanta which is much busier than this one( as far as I have seen). I've been to this Zaxby's before and they put things on my order that I didn't ask for, even to the point where I had to park and come inside to ask him to replace it, and other multiple mistakes. But I understand because we're human and we make mistakes. But the reason I'm giving this location one-star is simply because of the attitude most the employees had there. I understand practicality you have to do what you have to do to make it everyday but don't take your attitude on the people around you. The manager didn't seem bothered and did not want to give everybody their money back and kept telling them 5 to 10 seconds I promise we'll have it out to you, but when you already waited an hour you just don't have any more...
Read moreI had an insane experience at this Zaxby's and I'm seething. Yesterday me and my boyfriend made an online order that was quite large (around 4 full meals) and drove 40 mins to pick it up. When we got home we realized we were missing an order of cheddar bites, a kickin chicken sandwich, and a large fry. We call the restaurant at 6 pm and they tell us they are out of cheddar bites (don't know why that means it's ok to leave them out entirely and not replace it or tell us, but ok) but that they can substitute a large fry and replace the rest of our food as well. we told them we could come the next night. no big deal, we understand that accidents happen and food gets mixed up. the real issue began when we showed up at 9:30 the next night and upon arrival the workers tell us that there was no replacement order written down and they can't give us any of the food. at this point we began arguing because we paid $60 in total only to be told we can't get what we paid for. the workers told us that we weren't getting the food and escalated to yelling and cursing, told us there was no manager onsite. after a ton of back and forth they agreed to remake what we needed. an hour later we had only gotten one of the items so again we asked what's taking so long and they told us we have to leave and the lobby closes at 10!! they turned the lights out and tried to kick us out! we told them at this point we're not leaving without our food. they agree to make it again. we didn't get all of the food until 11 pm, which alone is ridiculous. but then my bf asks for a Zax sauce, happy to pay for it, and the worker threw it at him. my bf got very angry and threw it back. it hit another worker which is his mistake. then a guy from the back charged into the lobby yelling at us saying we shouldn't have done that. well they shouldn't have either, but whatever. then starts cussing us out as we leave so my bf started cussing him back. the guy PUSHED my boyfriend as we were walking and then threatened us saying "yea walk to your car." holy shit I have never experienced such bad customer service. the moment we walked in it was like we were bothering them simply by requesting the food we paid for but to cuss at us and PUT YOUR HANDS on a customer is absolutely insane. DO NOT go to this Zaxby's. some changes need to be made in this restaurant...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible, just came from mcdonalds because when i went to this specific zaxbys the door was open and we were expecting to order. But every employee was crowded at the counter and said they were closed until 5. Gave no explanation, nothing.
Update: so after I stopped going to the Robert Irwin Dr zaxbys, I decided to make south tryon my spot whenever I wanted zaxbys. It had a good run until today, clocked out for my 30 minute for a cheap and simple loaded fry no cheese. I arrived 10 minutes after I ordered and seen my order wasnt ready yet. It was no problem at forst until I seen a box that I knew was my order but it wasnt bagged. So I waited, and waited, and waited…. About 15 more minutes went by as im watching these girls horribly multitask between the line, drive thru and pickup orders. No one was at the counter for 10 minutes and when it was they were handling the line. So i basically just watched my order get cold and walked past for 15 minutes. Worst thing about it is that it still had cheese on it. My 30 minute was almost up so I didnt even want to wait anymore. Atp im completely done with zaxbys near my job. Both are terrible and slow, want my opinion? save yourself some time and go to any other food spot. Chex, chipotle, mcdonalds, absolutely anywhere else. Because I can almost guarantee you your food wont be cold, half assed, and itll be ready by the time you get there or AT LEAST you wont be waiting long. For zaxbys, in my opinion stop hiring these lil girls that dont gvie a damn about getting hot food to us at a timely manner, because the fact I choose pickup to avoid waiting and I still end up with cold food and a messed up order is egregious. Completely lost my business. And I...
