Run, don’t walk to Zepeddie's Pizzeria! It’s that good! We had the Supremo thin crust pizza, red sauce, fennel sausage, mushrooms, peperonata, kalamata olives, mozzarella, and parmesan. This pizza crust had the perfect balance of crispy and chewy. When reheated the next day, this crust was still great! The toppings were fresh and the fennel sausage was perfect. We also had the olive tapenade and house made focaccia. Let me tell you, that was the best tapenade I’ve ever had! Oh and the house made focaccia bread was incredible. All of the bread, pizza crusts, sandwich bread and focaccia, are house made and it shows. Folks in our group had the caprese sandwich which they loved. These sandwiches are huge. Good thing they have a half sandwich option. We finished up with a cannoli topped with a pistachio dusting that was to die for. Zepeddie's is not only pizza and sandwiches, there are wings with unique sauces like blackberry jalapeno, Cheerwine, and lemon pepper. Of course they have the traditional sauces like buffalo, etc. They have chicken tenders if you have kids and there are gluten-free and vegan options too. Like I said, Zepeddie’s is more than pizza. I’ve got to go back soon to try the salads, Bianca pizza, with pear and hot honey, calzones, stromboli, mozzarella sticks and tiramisu. This was an unexpected find in one of Charlotte’s newer and trendiest neighborhoods, LoSo (lower Southend). Did I mention we were greeted when we walked in the door as if we were old friends? ...

Stopped here for a late night dinner. First impressions is it's a very unique and relaxed atmosphere. Service was excellent but the real deal was the food. We ordered a Gabagoul pizza, Margherita pizza, blackberry jalepeno wings, garlic bread, and 2 sodas.
The pizza was good. Well cooked thin crust with plenty of flavor. Gabagoul is their meat lovers and it was a solid pizza. The Margherita was incredibly cooked but the seasoning salt they put on top made the pizza too salty.
They have so many flavors of wings which is cool. The blackberry jalepeno was unique and tasted great but the meat on the wings was not the best. The meat had a weird taste to them that made me not want to eat them. Also the wings themselves were warm but the wings tips were cold which threw me off.
The garlic bread was the worst of it all. The garlic bread was tasteless. No garlic whatsoever and the worst part was it was burnt. We ended up just throwing it out. The lady up front was nice enough to offer another one but we were pretty much full at this point so we didn't care for it anymore.
Overall the pizza, atmosphere, and service were good. Not a fan of...
Read moreAbsolutely loved Zepeddie’s Pizzeria in Charlotte, North Carolina. I’m a born and bred New Yorker. New York City and Brooklyn. I’ve had a really hard time with the Italian food here. I have to say, Zepeddie’s came pretty close when it came to my Italian favorites. We had a lot of different things, including the eggplant Parm sub, the chicken Parmesan sub, the Stromboli, the loaded fries, and we took a pizza to go. Even the pasta salad was good. Full of meat and cheese. Everything was legitimate. Was it as good as NYC?? No but some of the best things I’ve had in Charlotte. The red sauce was delicious and everything was very tasty and authentic. We took the thin crust pizza home and were a little disappointed. I’m not sure if it’s just us, but both of us agreed the sauce on the pizza wasn’t the same as the sauce and everything else. The crust was good, but the flavor was meh. The service was absolutely stellar as well. I would definitely go back, but I wouldn’t order the pizza next time. They have so many other things I would order...
