Emmy Squared Pizza: Charlottesville — Restaurant in Charlottesville

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Emmy Squared in Charlottesville! From start to finish, everything felt warm and welcoming. A big thank you to Nelson, who took such great care of us. He was attentive without being overbearing and genuinely kind.

We decided to share a couple of dishes, and it turned out to be more than enough food. The Brussels Sprouts Salad was fresh, flavorful, and a perfect balance of textures. The Spicy Chicken Sandwich was absolutely delicious, crispy, juicy, and packed with just the right amount of heat. Both dishes were outstanding, and honestly, we could have easily fed a third person with the portions.

The vibe of the restaurant made the night feel special without being stuffy. We left happy, full, and already planning our next visit. Emmy Squared is definitely a spot we will be...

Emmy Squared has amazing pizza and cocktails! I strongly recommend the margarita and vodka margarita pizzas. The staff is extremely friendly and service can be a bit slow but it's worth the wait! The restaurant seems very clean and well decorated as well. The only thing to be weary about is promotions. They advertised free pizza for the first 25 people at their grand opening. We rearranged our weekend and arrived an hour before they opened to find out they had given away the wristbands hours before they announced they would because people apparently came super early when it was raining. It's kind of suspicious, a little unfair, and very disappointing but otherwise a great...

I love anchovies. And they do point out that their Caesar dressing is “anchovy”. But the anchovy is either from paste (likely) or cheap anchovies. And the flavor is overpowering. The crispy panko topping? What little there was resembles fine bread crumbs.

Pizza was just ok… caramelized onions were largely burnt. Sausage was not anywhere near chunks you would expect (and their picture shows.) rather they were bacon bit sized sprinkles. Also quite dark. The whole pizza was very dark - which I won’t complain about because I like my pizza browned. But the rest of my family doesn’t.
