On Thursday evening (5.15.2025), my daughter and I entered Cheddar's, just as we do routinely at least twice a week. An elderly African American woman was in front of waiting to be seated. The hostess walked her towards some empty tables, then turned around and said she would have to wait five minutes and she sat down to wait. While waiting on the hostess, a couple walked in behind us. The hostess then asked how many were in our party. I responded, “two” and she looked at two empty tables in another section and said it would be five minutes. So, we left and while still in the parking lot, we witnessed her seat the couple and another couple who'd walked in after us. So, we went back in to request a manager because she sat 4 people despite saying there were no available tables. By this time, the elderly African American woman frustratingly left because she was still waiting to be opposite while 2 couples were sat even though they came in after her and us. A female while claimed to be a manager came to the front and stood. I explained the situation and the young lady shrugged her shoulders and said “well the tables are dirty” but none of the tables were dirty and this does not excuse the fact that the Recently made a party of 1 wait and a party of 2 wait but two parties of 2 after all of us were seated. Im not sure if this was a racial discrimination incident because all of us who were told to wait were African American. Nevertheless, the manager continued to say that all the tables in the building that had no customers were dirty, still ignoring the fact that thr hostess refused to seat us. We had requested a specific section because we like the gaping and she had 2 free tables in a small section that was not too crowded. I pointed out the 2 empty tables and the other empty tables in the other section that the first lady wanted to sit at. The manger just shrugged her shoulders and said “look the hostess is just one person, do you want to be seated or what?” She then walked us to one of the empty tables and I requested the corporate number and she said she would be back with a card. This time, a man came out who actually looked like the manager and gave us a card and said they just didn't have enough staff to wait the tables. The reasoning changed from the tables were dirty to not enough staff. How can clean tables be dirty and how can a relatively small section with few guests be full? How can 4 other people be seated in front of 3 people who were told to wait. It is unfortunate because this was one of my favorite restaurants but we will not be returning to this location. The second managed said he would look at the camera but nether of them would talk to her. They instead let her go...
Read moreI went to Cheddar's on April 31st (Easter Sunday) with my father. After I sat down, the waitress sat two straws on the table and said she would be back. She did not ask what we would be drinking. My father returned to the table and the waitress still had not returned. When she finally returned, she brought two croissant rolls and asked what we wanted to drink. After we made our drink order, she frantically said "I'll be right back" and proceeded to visit another table. When she returned with the drinks, we were ready to order. We both ordered the Grilled Chicken Alfredo. When our food arrived, we each asked for a side of Alfredo sauce for each of our meals. The waitress returned with not two bowls, but one bowl of Alfredo sauce. We both asked for the extra sauce and did not want to share, so we told her and she said she would go and get my father his own sauce. Instead, she stopped to talk, take an order at a table of six, and start ringing up customers. She then returned to the table and asked, "do you still need that extra sauce?" My father explained that he was waiting on her so he could eat his food; by this time it was getting cold. She frantically said "okay" and walked off. Instead of going to the kitchen, she stopped to take another order and began ringing up another table. By this time, my father asked how long he would be waiting; the waitress did not answer. So he asked the hostess for the manager. My father explained the situation; the manager said the waitress was correct because she is supposed to take care of each table at the same time. My father explained that we originally ordered 2 extra Alfredo sauces; she came back with 1, trying to force us to share and she did not go back to retrieve his extra Alfredo sauce when asked, she proceeded to complete tasks that took her longer than it would to go to the kitchen and get the Alfredo sauce and his food had gotten cold. The manager said the waitress was doing her job; my father asked if the manager was saying that it was okay that his food had gotten cold. The manager got angry and dismissed the problem, so my father and I got up to leave; the manager demanded payment, even though we had not eaten our meal. This has been the worst experience at Cheddar's, where we visit at least once a week. It was clear the waitress had either not received proper training or she did not want to work. This issue could have been resolved by allowing someone to work with her and to correct her approach...
Read moreI'm not sure why but every time I go here I always get sick the same night. Like I said I'm not sure what causes this but I always change the order every time. Last night my boyfriend and I went to eat here with a group of friends and it really wasn't a good experience. For one, we went for our best friends birthday and when we got there they seated us immediately which is fantastic but we waited for something to at least come and take our drink order but no one showed up for at least 20 minutes to take that. When the waiter did show up we ended up ordering everything at once, food and drinks because we had plenty enough time to decide. For two we all watched him write down all of our orders and then when the food came out he had forgotten our friend's food. Which this dinner was for his birthday and when the waiter came back he said it wasn't cooked and that he can get them to cook it really quick. Side note to that, he should have already had the cooks making it before he came back and even though our friend's food wasn't cooked the rest of our food was cold. Anyway, my friend didn't want his food cooked because we had all gotten ours so he didn't want to eat after us. So he asked the waiter to see about removing his drinks from his tab and the waiter said he couldn't do it. Then he offered some cookies but didn't offer any other kind of apology or any way to make up for it. The $40 my boyfriend and I spent here last night wasn't worth it, I feel like we were robbed, especially since I got sick once again after eating here and I'm sure that our friends feel...
