So on Wednesday, July 30th at approximately 11:25 AM, I came here to pick up a doorDash and as I was waiting for the order to be ready, there was a gentleman that was helping a customer at the register. He was assisting her while wearing his gloves that he was just using to make food with. Without removing the gloves, he took money from this customer, put it in the drawer and then gave them their change. Just in this specific interaction, this person has already made a very unsanitary and crucial error, but it gets worse. For those unaware, the mistake I am referring to is that he should’ve taken off his gloves to work the register. After he uses these gloved hands to hand the money back to the customer, he immediately goes to one of the carts, pull the sheet pan out, and with these gloved hands that were just used to touch money, he grabs a cookie and starts to put it in the box for the customer he just helped. Due to my knowledge and experience in the kitchen, I had to point out his error to him so that he understood what he was doing wrong and didn’t do it again. I was not rude about it. I simply said “sir, you just handled money with those hands and didn’t change your gloves or wash your hands”. He acknowledged me and walked over to the sink, DIDNT wash his hand but changed gloves and came back to get her order for her. When changing out of a pair of gloves, you should always wash your hands before putting on a new pair because in this case the germs from that money that he touched is all over the outside of those gloves. Now he changes out of those gloves, but still has to touch the outside of those gloves with his bare hands so now he’s contaminating his bare hands that were clean to put on a new pair of gloves and contaminate those further. Doing this is better than him using the gloves that he had on in the first place and I’m not his boss so I let it go at this point. However, the woman working with him heard what I said, and I don’t know if it’s due to her having a crush on him or maybe she doesn’t understand the simple basic concept of handwashing but she approached me with the order I was there for and just THREW it at me. Not like a baseball obviously, but not like you’re handing an order to a customer. More like you’re super rude because you’re offended because someone called out your secret crush for being completely unsanitary and you’re upset about it kind of handed to me and then gave me a dirty look and walked away. If you are the owner of this establishment, I left a timestamp on here for a reason so you can check your security footage and see that I’m not making things up. The first employee should be written up and the second employee should be fired. I will make sure that the Better Business Bureau...
Read moreThis review is for the Hixson location only. Cookies, amazing. Service, horrible. Today was the 5th time I visited this location but the 3rd time I’ve experienced a similar situation. I place an order online, alerted through the app that I have arrived, go inside to the carry out line and wait. And wait. And wait. There were no less than 6 people in the store running their mouths and periodically looking over at the carry out line and then continuing to ignore us. The guy behind me had placed an order for 1:10 and at 1:38 got frustrated at the girl at the counter who told him it would be 13 more minutes. She didn’t even realize the customer was mad and just told him to come back before they close at 10! He just shook his head and walked out. I explained to her that the customer was upset because his order wasn’t ready and he had been waiting almost 30 minutes. She was like “oh well we make them fresh.” Then, she and the 5 other people “working” continued to make me wait ten more minutes until I eventually said excuse me can anybody help me get my 1 cookie? Never one time, in the 25 minutes I waited did anyone say, “can I help you?” After I told them I was waiting for my carry out order, IN THE CARRY OUT line, they all start scrambling and find my cookie packaged up and sitting on the mixing table in the center that had been sitting there the ENTIRE 25 minutes I waited. ICE cold. So the “making them fresh” statement clearly didn’t add up. I immediately asked to speak to a manager but the same checkout girl said there was not a manager there today. Clearly that’s a problem. I would love to speak to an owner, manager etc about the other similar experiences I’ve seen when management isn’t around. I’ll send an email to corporate as well but wanted to warn others who may be in a hurry when choosing the...
Read moreWarning: If you are on a diet, please avoid this place. If you want a moment of, "I don't care!" this is the place. Try to limit yourself to one. Of each. No seconds. Well, except for the really good stuff. Go ahead and get a dozen of the little ones. Have them pick a random selection for you. Be sure to tell them your dislikes, "Nothing with onions or pickles!" for example. You'll find that "little" is not a very good description. But you can tell yourself you haven't been that bad, "I only ate one little cookie" or two. And you won't be lying, they did it for you. I recommend putting each cookie in a separate baggie and putting them in the freezer if you did buy them for yourself. The 10 you didn't eat right away. Or the 12 with a bite in each. For a different experience, break off little pieces of a frozen cookie and pop one in your mouth. As you chew and it defrosts...uh, just trust me on this one. I wonder who on earth would pay so much for a cookie. It turns out I would! You may noticed I have not tried to tell you about the taste. There is a candy bar that claims it is "indescribably delicious". I feel that could be applied to...
