šŸŒŠšŸŒŠšŸŒŠā˜•ļøGoodman’s is an amazing third wave coffee shop! ā˜•ļøšŸŒŠšŸŒŠšŸŒŠ My wife and I stopped by at Goodmanā€˜s Coffee Roasters in Saint Elmo on our way home through Chattanooga. I’m a coffee connoisseur, so I am always on the hunt for speciality cafes in my vicinity. We read about this coffee roaster & cafe online and decided it was worth our time. We were certainly not disappointed – in fact, we were blown away! 🤯 When we walked into the quaint store front, the barista greeted us warmly. I was drawn to their whole beans on the shelf and inquired about the roast and processing of their various coffees, so the barista contacted their expert roaster, Tyler, who was super friendly and answered my (many) questions about their coffee beans and roasting process. Tyler even invited me to see his roasting equipment! 🤩 After nerding out about coffee with Tyler for quite a while, I was thrilled to then go and order my coffee. I got their drip Honduras (natural process) and my wife ordered a latte (the espresso blend includes Guava BananašŸˆšŸŒ). Both drinks were excellent! The drip coffee was clean and bright with hints of fruitiness and sweetness. My wife said the espresso tasted like banana bread—a delicious treat! As you can see from the pics, we’re taking home several different bags of coffee 😁 I was so excited about the guava banana that I couldn’t even wait till we got home to open the bag! What a rich, pleasing aroma! You can see the beans look fresh and nicely roasted from the picture. ā˜•ļø Next time you’re in Chatt Town, it’s well worth your time to visit Goodman’s! We certainly will be returning soon! šŸ‘‹

I’d love to see more intention to keep Tennessee beautiful, by offering more (and more clearly accessible!) plastic-free options at your lovely shop! By 2050, we’re set to have more plastics in our waterways than fish. And with only ~5% of our plastics actually getting recycled, we can’t recycle our way out of this. Plastics break down into chemical microplastics that are found in our food and water. But we didn’t use to be this way! We used to serve for-here options as the norm. Real, reusable mugs and cups and cutlery. While y’all serve some things in reusables (when requested) I noticed much room for improvement, that would make the space cozier and the environmental impact less intense. Maybe start by selling canned water, or water in aluminum, instead of this plastic bottled water. Lots of brands to choose from these days! You could also keep reusable water cups by your water jug for folks staying at the shop to read and meet friends. No need for all this throwaway plastic for cups of water. You could also put up signage to encourage customers to keep Chattanooga clean and beautiful by asking ā€œfor hereā€ with their order. Of course: your shop is lovely, and service was fab, and the coffee was delicious. But I’d be remiss if I didn’t share my concerns about all the waste I saw being created in just one short visit. Consumers want options to be better to this planet—help us out by providing, communicating, incentivizing, or encouraging those options! Thanks :)

While on our trip in Tennessee, my husband and I stopped at a different coffee shop every day. I tried either specials at each one or a white mocha(my fav.) To say this place had been my least favorite so far is doing it justice. Firstly, the overall vibes just weren’t the best here. The place smelled kind of weird, and the people working seemed like they hated to be there. Every other place has had very welcoming vibes with music and decor, but this place just lacked your typical coffee shop hospitality. Onto the coffee(white mocha), it was so bad. I absolutely love coffee and will drink it even if it’s not to my taste, but this was just undrinkable. It genuinely just tasted like milk with a splash of old molded coffee in it. I attached a picture as well and you can tell by the color it’s almost entirely milk. Lastly, parking. The parking in this whole area sucks. But honestly their parking was pretty good so I upped them to 2 stars. They have their own free parking in the back behind the building and you can walk down and around to get to them. This was genuinely the only good thing about this place. The only thing is it’s a bit hard to find the parking unless you accidentally turn down that road, so keep that in mind.
