Me and a friend decided to try this place on a whim today for lunch, and we sure are glad that we did. Amazing food and quaint atmosphere. Jimmy waited on us and made sure that we enjoyed our food. He talked to us for a bit about the restaurant, they’ve been open for 22 years and it shows - they definitely know their stuff. My friend ordered the patty melt on a light rye that tasted great. I had the homemade chicken salad wrap. Jimmy even offered to let me sample some of the chicken salad before I ordered it. The fries were homemade and delicious. The prices are very reasonable. This is a family owned and operated establishment and you can really tell. The food, service, and atmosphere was nice, and everyone was so friendly. There aren’t many of these places left! Support local - go try some of their food, you won’t regret it. We’ll definitely be back. Five stars across the board.

I've yet to visit your restaurant, which trust me will happen soon!!! I've been snagging these delicious pints of your chicken salad from Linda's Produce and it is the bomb!!!! I'm the customer a month or so ago that told the cashier at Linda's that I thought all the chicken salads were expiring in the fridge dedicated to just your product. The bottom simply had a date sticker and clearly I'm not the brightest apple in the bunch. She laughed at me and said, "Those are the born on dates. It was just made today." OHHHHH!!!! 😂😂😂 I see she must've passed the funny moment along to you cuz I was so tickled today when I saw Born On Date above the digits. Without even knowing it, looks like I created a process change. Bless my heart. 👏👏 Anyway, all Linda's has is your chicken salad so I can't wait to visit you soon to try some of your other delights cuz you know what you are doing!!!

Thought I'd try this place on another's recommendation. Glad I did! I walked in for a late lunch and right away was greeted by Grace with by a cheery voice and a very happy attitude. 😊. Given a menu right away then discussing the specials, I ordered the meat loaf, mashed potatoes and white beans, corn bread with a salad and water. It was good home cooking and hit the spot. The atmosphere is nice too. Soooo Good Food. Friendly, Cheery servers and a Family owned business. This little Mom n Pop Restaurant might be just what you need to fill your stomach, put a smile on your face and improve your day. If I'm in town again, I'll be back. I recommend it. 😊😋😋😋😋😋

As a DD driver, I am standing in place of the customer who cannot physically patronize the establishment; therefore, our interaction should be a professional business interaction. When I arrived I was greeted by a girl at the counter. I advised her I was waiting for a DD order & she very nicely advised that they were waiting on 1 more thing. I continued waiting at the counter. After a while, the guy behind the counter very friendly asked “how are you?” I also friendly responded “I’m doing well. I’m just waiting on a DD order, she said you guys were still just…”. The guy behind the counter cut me off and said with a chuckle “I only asked how you were doing” and walked away. This is a terrible interaction. As a customer waiting for an order, it is natural to respond to a worker by advising what it is I need or am waiting for. To stop someone mid sentence and advise that “I only asked 1 question” and walk away is extremely unprofessional.

Food for thought: What if the roles were reversed. Let’s say I asked him how he was doing & he told me, but began to elaborate. What if I cut him off and gave him the exact same...

Short: Great place, great food, great people! If you like burgers, this place has a special treat for you!!! But it only comes on the last Friday of the month.

Long: Family owned and run establishment with a large crowd of "regulars". One of their signature items is only available on the last Friday of the month; the SMOKED BURGER!!! I suggest the fries (fresh cut) if you're going to eat it there, or shortly thereafter (otherwise, tater tots). They sell out every time, typically by 1-2 pm, unless you've called ahead for a later pickup. The majority of my co-workers follow suit, when someone mentions it's SMOKED BURGER DAY! I target calling around 10:30-11:00, for a 6:30-7 pickup. I've only missed a couple, in over a year, usually because I called too late or wasn't in town that day. They also have a great chicken salad that I'd suggest you try (if you like chicken salad, of course). If the whole family likes it, I'd suggest grabbing a tub if you want more than just a nibble.

Did I say smoked burger day is the LAST FRIDAY...

Great food! Love the family owned and operated atmosphere. No frills. Old school cafe. Didn’t love that I had to watch Fox News while eating but to each their own… Only reason we didn’t give 5 stars is they don’t use any sustainable products and on top of it they use styrofoam. No excuses for any business to still be using plastic or styrofoam. Too many cost effective alternatives that don’t destroy our planet.

Some good cost effective alternatives:

Bagasse (Sugarcane) Containers: Made from sugarcane pulp, these containers are compostable, sturdy, and suitable for hot or cold foods. PLA-lined Paper Cups: These cups are lined with a biodegradable material made from corn starch, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional plastic. Recycled Kraft Paper Boxes: Affordable, durable, and made from recycled materials, these boxes are great for packaging food-to-go.

Look for suppliers that offer bulk discounts to further...
