We were in the Hixson area and was trying to decide on what to get for dinner. We always go to the same places and none of them were standing out to us. We finally decided on Millers since we had never been there before. We did not regret our decision. #1, Meelah, our server, was one of the best servers anyone could have ever asked for. She was extremely attentive to our needs, but not overbearing. She was extremely patient with us since we didnât know what we wanted to order. #2, the portions for our son was the absolute perfect amount and add that he got an ice cream with his dinner order made it that much better. #3, Wife and I were torn between the Cajun Chicken Pasta and the Blackened Salmon. She ordered the salmon and it was heavenly. Perfectly cooked and flavorful. The vegetables were to die for. #4, I got the Cajun Chicken Pasta. While the meal was outstanding and full of flavor, if I had to complain about something, it would be with this. Use a higher quality of chicken breast as chicken is not supposed to be âcrunchyâ after being cooked and either add some extra chicken to it or subtract some of the noodles. Even up the ratio some. The bread was out of this world. #5, The atmosphere was incredible. We were worried that it was going to be like BWW where the TVs were blaring or people being loud, but it was quite the opposite. Yes, tvâs were on with basketball, golf, and baseball, but they were kept at a low volume so as not to interrupt with us talking with each other.
Overall, I would give Millers a high recommendation for people to take their families for some great food, amazing atmosphere, and some...
Read moreWent last night, the server we had seemed rushed so I was trying to be very accommodating. He was very rude to my partner & just not friendly with any of us. I never got a refill on my drink at all. He was just very short & snappy with us.
When he asked how weâd be splitting the bill, I motioned to my toddler & said heâd be on a bill with me and my partner, I said âusâ and motioned to us as we were sitting on one side of the table together & our son was sitting on the the table opposite with his grandparents. He very aggressively said âwho is us?!?â I said me & my partner, he then acted like he thought I meant my father-in-law, I said âno our sonâ. Mid sentence Iâm trying to explain that my in-laws & aunt in law are on different checks, and he just walked away. My mother-in-law asked for a Togo box a total of 4 times and she finally had to just wrap her food in a paper towel. My husband ordered rice & received fries, ordered a medium well burger & it was VERY well done, and my son ordered apple sauce & received a fruit cup, I ordered a side of fries & it was never even put in. Also my aunt in law ordered the soup & salad, and he rung it in separate, which tbh none of these things on their own wouldâve been a huge deal, but everything together was frustrating.
I used to be a server, I know how stressful Friday nights can be, however itâs no reason to be nasty & rude with customers.
That was our first trip there & will not return. Our daughter is entering quarantine this week for a heart cath at Vanderbilt, and this was our last family night for a while. Very...
Read moreFirst time going to a Miller's Ale House. We had an appetizer, a soup, a meal, a dessert and a cocktail. The service was great, felt like we waited a while for food - spent well over an hour and half there overall. The cocktail was really good, cherry limeade, it was tasty and not very strong which I like. I want a smooth tasty drink and this was it. The appetizer we had was the max mex chicken nachos. We liked it well enough to eat it, but I didn't care for the smokey flavor on the chicken. The meal we had was teriyaki steak and potsticker with rice and veggies. The steak was a little overcooked but they are small pieces and that's hard to get right, I thought the sauce on those was good. The potstickers were pretty standard pork potstickers and the sauce with them was to thick and sweet but I still used it. The rice had no flavor and neither did the veggies - I mean not even salt and pepper. The potato soup was thin but had a great flavor to it, I didn't need to add anything to it, my husband didn't like the smoked tang to it but I really enjoyed it. Speaking of really enjoying, the Ghirardelli brownie sundae was awesome and the picture doesn't do it's size justice, a family of 4 could easily share it - great value to it. So some things we loved and some were just okay. Overall the place, service, and food was good enough we will for sure be going back. We will definitely be ordering different food though and if we find some we really love - I will come give...
