Th Panera Hixson is slow but I do not have an issue with that. My issue is they are always leaving something from my order out of the bag. No chips, no sandwich, no pickle, don't ask about your rewards. I actually had a sandwich left out of my bag yesterday. I called 3 times this morn (at least) The phone rang continuously and Noone would even pick up so I had to drive there at 6:00 to take care of the issue. An older female worker was judging me for being upset with the situation . That was breakfast for me and I didnt have what I was suppose to have. She made a comment and I told her I had called 3 times before I left home and the phone just rang and rang. Noone would even pick up and there was no rush of customers. (In fact, maybe 4 or 5. ) I told her "the issue could have been settled over the phone" but you wouldnt answer the phone and with that statement I took the wind out of her judgemental attitude. The inside of the shop had only a couple of people in it. No rush whatsoever as far as customers inside of the store. I will not be patronizing this store anymore. The manager would not give me the sandwich. He said I did not pay for it. Thats not my issue. I ordered a You pick two. If the person running the register made the error dont take it out on me. They placed chips in there with the soup. Wouldn't that constitute a You pick 2? Anyway somebody got to eat a ciabatta cheesesteak sandwich. She hit the wrong button. The fact that I did not get my order and then had to drive back to the store out of my way. This manager did not want to help. I don't know if they have video but I wish they would go back and play it to see where the fault lays. I ordered a You pick 2 and the incompetence and the fact the manager is blaming me for their mistake is disgusting. I frequent this place and have spent a lot of my money on gift cards for holidays (bought about 10 over Christmas holidays; about $500 ) not to mention just grabbing something to take home. The help is incompetent, this manager with the last issue about the drive thru (which was about 2 weeks ago) made it all about his lack of help and then his health. I was the customer and paying for their service. They want to make excuses instead of provide service. There will be no more business from me here at Panera Hixson. Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe stopped in here to "waste a little time" until Ollie's opened at 9am (we also decided we could eat, since we hadn't really had breakfast yet). Hubs got the Four Cheese Souffle and an Americano, I got the Classic Avocado Toast and an iced tea, and we got two blueberry muffins to go.
The souffle was dished up right away, and I was handed a cup for my iced tea. I took both these items, filled my cup and found a seat for us while Hubs waited for the rest. He got his Americano, came around the corner, and set it down, then went back and waited for my Avocado Toast. They called my name to acknowledge that my order was ready, as he was on his way back to the counter. So, he returned to the table straightaway.
The Avocado Toast was phenomenal. One piece of toast with mashed avocado and everything bagel topping. š¤š» The unsweetened tea tasted fresh and delicious (as I always find it at Panera).
Hubs advised that the Four Cheese Souffle was quite cheesy and tasted delicious. He scarfed it down fairly quickly, so I believe he was telling the truth š.
As we were discussing houses we wanted to look at (we ARE moving to the area), the employee who took our order snuck up next to us and set a bag on our table and said, "Did you get your blueberry muffins?" š¤¦š»āāļø Both of us had totally spaced the muffins and would have walked out without them if he hadn't brought them to us. We thanked him profusely.
We beat the rush, had an excellent breakfast, met an honest employee, spent some time chatting about which houses we like, and "wasted" the time we needed to in order to be able to wait until Ollie's opened at 9am. All this leads to a five star experience at...

Then this Panera is for you! Every time I go some baked good crazed soccer mom has abandoned a car in the parking lot in the way. Once you're done maneuvering around the SS Karen (that has it's flashers on like that makes it's okay to be the worst) you can go inside where the snafu continues. Did you order online? Add 20+ minutes to the panera estimate and if you're lucky it will be ready then. There will be a crowd of frustrated people standing around the order pickup window wondering why their (everyone's) food is taking so long and the employees will try not to engage with you. If you do manage to talk to someone they shrug and say they're working on it. When they finally give you your food, don't forget to check it for accuracy before leaving. The person in front of me as well as myself were handed our orders missing baked goods. On the plus side, it only took 5 more minutes to complete my order once they marked it as finished and ready!
All that to spend $30 dollars on a sandwich that was barely warm, bagels that are sliced in something other than halves, and a couple cookies. Plus it took almost half an hour longer than the website estimated when I ordered.
