Normally I'm super ecstatic about going to ichibans. However on my most recent outing for my friends birthday was awful! We went to the sushi bar because she only wanted sushi. I however dont like sushi. Our server, Brian, was horrid! He was legitimately nice to every other table except for ours. I had ordered something from the grill, which I knew was a wait, that I didnt mind. However it eas irritating to see other people that were seated AFTER us, receive their food (one table ordered some sushi and something off the regular menu) leaving 30-45 minuted before us. I had asked for some white sauce, received 1 cup, asked for some more to which our waiter Brian scoffed, rolled his eyes and said "more white sauce really?" Still only received one cup. Finally after dealing with the manager I received 3 To go cups. I had also gotten a Togo order, when I received my food he told me he would put the Togo order in then. Which I politely told him (after waiting almost 2 hours to receive my food) not to worry with it and not to charge me for. He proceeded to charge me anyway. The manager gladly took it off. The waiter was extremely rude towards our table but was all smiles and happy go lucky with other tables. Even the table beside us that literally ordered the EXACT same thing as us. I definitely won't be returning to this ichibans, which is a shame because its one of my favorite places to go! He's been rude towards my friend and I on 3 separate ocassions. animosity shown towards a customer is inappropriate and wrong. His discrimination towards our table was terrible. Brian, I truly hope you take 5 minutes out of your day to read this review written by a fellow server. Even if you're having a terrible day, you treat all your tables the same, even if they are annoying. I always tip at least 10-15 dollars even on like a $25 tab because the service is usually fantastic and I know servers live on tips, however your actions cost you a good tip. Ichiban has been my choice for my birthday lunch/dinner since I moved here in 2009 and ten years later they have yet to disappoint. Parking is usually not an issue because the parking lot is quite big, unless its dinner on the weekend. We made a reservation for party of 8 for 11:30 (when they open) so that we wouldn't have a long wait time and we were seated right away. Eight people was perfect because we took up all the seats on our side so we had the whole half of the room to ourselves. I believe they have larger table to accommodate bigger parties but i have a small family. The restaurant is easy to find and is always clean and organized. The cook is always super nice and watching him cook is always super entertaining for my family and I, and we enjoy the show. I always get an order of sushi to share and it is delicious. This time I got the California Tempura and I got cream cheese added. It was amazing. By the time I finished that, the chicken and steak fried rice I ordered was ready. Juicy chicken and steak cooked perfect to medium rare, just as I had asked. Since tomorrow is my actual birthday, I didn't bother telling the waiter. Usually if you say something to the staff, they will send a complementary fruit bowl to you the end of your meal with pineapple and cherries which is great. As usual, there was plenty to take home. I could get another 2 meals out of the leftovers! All in all, it was a great birthday dinner and I can't wait to do it...

During my lunch break I tried calling in a Togo order but for whatever reason the phone number listed after ringing 7 times says thank you for calling Verizon wireless. So I decided to go to the restaurant and place the order in person for myself and my boss. I waited a few minutes only to be greeted poorly by a gentleman that had a bad attitude. I placed my order and thought I was good to go. I was a little confused why my order wasn’t repeated back to me but since I was on my lunch break I thought surely my order was right. I get my food and back to the office only to be shorted a soup and vegetables. I placed an order for 2 hibachi lunch specials… which come with soup, salad, rice, meat, and vegetables. One had no vegetables and only one soup. So I tried calling again and still no response. I drive back over there and the guy told me I ask for no vegetables and admitted to shorting a soup. Please teach your employees to repeat back all orders to avoid any miscommunication. Also please check your orders before sending the customers on their way.
