I would have never found this hole in the wall Cafe and juice bar on my own if it were not for my friend who wanted to get lunch and ask if we could eat at plant power. I have to admit that from the outside it does look pretty sketchy and the inside is by no means glamorous, but what they don't have in looks they make up for in food.
They have a vast array of sandwiches, burgers, salads, juices, dairy-free ice cream, and even zucchini noodles. I had the Jackfruit BBQ sandwich which came with coleslaw on top and a pickle on the side - it was so packed with flavor I couldn't believe it was made out of fruit! The barbecue and the coleslaw balanced each other beautifully and the Toasted Bun added even more to that amazing sandwich.I also love that you can even get raw foods from here if you are on a raw diet. (Ps. They have gluten free options too)
It's very refreshing to find a vegan place outside of Chattanooga ~ most vegan places are all the way IN Chattanooga but this place was only about 15 minutes from where I live.
Don't let the raw, dairy-free Foods scare you away from this place ~ they are flavor packed and very healthy and the prices aren't bad! 4 stars for the great food and good service. If they got some plants, added some Christmas or fairy lights to the inside and maybe played a little music, it could carry this place a long way in terms of looks/atmosphere. But at the end of the day the food is what matters and in that aspect Plant...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve frequented Plant Power for over a year now because the food is great, however, the customer service is not. There have been a few incidents that Iāve swept under the rug but after the last visit Iām starting to run out of patience with this establishment. I called to place my usual order and was told that it wasnāt something that they served. So I mentioned that Iād gotten this same order Atleast twice before over the course of a month and I was told that this order was a āspecialā. I asked twice what a āspecialā was but instead of informing me the manager says that she can just make it because they have the ingredients to do so. Once I get there I ask yet again what a āspecialā is so that thereās no confusion the next time and I asked if it was something they try out to see how well they do. She tells me that it is and says if I were to call none of the new team members would know what Iām referring to when she couldāve just informed me of all of this the very first time I asked what a special was. It isnāt my job to keep up with what the new team members know or donāt know as I donāt work there. Initially she made it seem like it was an issue all for her to tell me that she can make what I was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI finally got to try Plant Power Cafe & Juice Bar. No pictures because I ate it all gone. šš¤·š¼āāļø I was in the mood to try something different so I had the āfishā sandwich and carrot salad. Yall. It took me to another world. Iām talking out of body experience. The perfectly warmed and fluffy bun, tangy tarter sauce, and that fresh crisp slaw elevated the fish sandwich to another level kisses finger tips.
As good as that was. It may have been the carrot salad that stole the show. This was not your grandmaās carrot salad that you tried to sneak off your plate rather than eat. Oh no. It was bright and fresh. Iāve never thought to add green grapes to carrot salad but they did and now my life (and carrot salads) will never be the same. Iām not sure what was in the dressing, but if I ever find myself in need of a last meal, it would be this salad because that dressing was to die for.
The staff (owners??) were very friendly and the restaurant was clean, clean.
In closing, if youāve never been. Go. Now. If you have been, go again. Get the carrot salad and fish sandwich....
