The Landing – 5+ Stars Chelan’s Best Spot—Hungry or Thirsty If you’re anywhere near Campbell’s Resort, do yourself a favor and cross the street to The Landing. Whether you’re craving a great meal, a strong drink, or just a seat at the bar with unforgettable company, this place delivers. Boston Mike is reason alone to visit. He’s Italian, he’s from Boston, and he’s absolutely awesome. The man makes a world-class Bloody Mary—bold, balanced, and built like it belongs in a competition. Sit at the bar long enough and you’ll swear you’ve wandered onto the set of Cheers. His stories are the kind you lean into, and his hospitality is unmatched. After finding out I was from Kansas City, he even renamed the NY Strip in my honor—the Kansas City Strip. Behind the bar with him is Mike (the Janitor), a bartender who knows how to keep the vibe just right—quick with a pour, a joke, or both. The two of them make you feel like you’ve been coming there for years. The food? Fantastic. My steak was cooked to perfection, sides were fresh and flavorful, and the whole meal was paced just right. Add in seamless service and a relaxed but elevated atmosphere, and you’ve got the best dinner in Chelan. Final word: Come hungry, come thirsty, but most importantly—come ready for an experience. The Landing isn’t just a meal. It’s a memory.

There is not a single thing I would change about this restaurant. The people, the food, the atmosphere.. it is all amazing. We had an unpleasant experience at a different local restaurant on Valentine's day and we walked out before ordering. We were at the landing the day prior and really enjoyed it, so we thought we would see if they had any tables, hopeful that we would be lucky. They were bustling and their tables were fully booked, but with open arms and a rose for me, they invited us to be seated at the bar. We quickly obliged. We were then met with the most charismatic and entertaining barman I've ever met. He went by Boston Mike. He clearly had a lot of pride in his work, and it was so fun to see someone that upbeat and happy at work. He kept us engaged and interested in staying and drinking and feasting on the incredible food and drinks they serve there. This restaurant turned what was a terrible evening into a very fantastic one. We don't live in Chelan, but we are sure to stop here whenever we are in town. It is worth every penny.

I have been in Chelan all week for work. I've been eating Bagged Salad and Safeway Roasted chicken all week and was so looking forward to a good restaurant experience. Still trying to eat healthy I ordered the Organic Brown Rice Salad and a glass of wine. The server was excellent, which is the only reason they got 2 stars instead of 1. I came to eat absolutely starving. I waited 45 minutes or more for my food. When it came I was stunned. An 8 year old could have done better. They couldn't cut the lettuce in edible portions or toss the salad. The chicken was bone dry. The only good thing was the brown rice. It took them 45 minutes to get my food, but I can tell you they took more time and creativity writing their menu descriptions than making the food. I've never sat in a restaurant and wished I'd chosen bagged salad and Safeway Chicken. To their credit they comped a wine and gave me a discount because of the long wait. I left most of the food and walk back to Safeway for food.

I don't normally write bad reviews, but twice I was disappointed. Last month we were in town for a couple of days, all staying at one of our friend's houses in town who was with us for a retirement celebration. 4 of us showed up early, and we decided to stop in for an appetizer and drink. Our waitress, who looked as if she was the lead waiter working that day, carded us. I understand that one of the guys with us looks younger. She looked at mine first and replied "I can't accept this" in a rude, unwelcoming way. Already confused because I don't look close to 21 and my ID is fine, I asked why. She replied, "It's expired" and just looked at us. To summarize, in the end I proceeded to show her that it wasn't expired and that her dates were mixed up. The waitresses attitude was very unwelcoming and rude. However, the older gentleman bartending was the opposite, he was very welcoming. We left and went to senior frogs for a drink instead.

The next day with everyone together we decided to give the place another try for early dinner. A couple of us walked in, the place was basically empty. We told them we had a large number, 13 for dinner. A younger different waitress said okay and walked a couple of us back to an area to see if it would work and began putting a couple tables together. The waitress asked if we would be splitting checks, and we replied yes if possible. It was at that time the other older waitress from yesterday showed up. She asked how many people would be showing up, again saying 13. Her attitude and unwelcoming vibe continued, she proceeded to explain that we would have to be all on one check and that there would be an extra fee added to the check for such a large number of people, she also explained that we wont find a single restaurant in town who wont do the same. At that point we asked if it was easier and possible to just get 3 separate normal tables to sit 4 people at each and one with 5. The waitress said no. Once again, to summarize the restaurant was not full or busy this lead waitress was not friendly or willing to work with us in anyway. With our number of people were prepared to spend thousands on appetizers dinners and drink. Her attitude walked us right out the door. We then walked to Fonda Oaxaquena, they without fail were happy to accommodate with NO extra fee and were willing to split checks! Although we ended up keeping it all on one. I am currently back in town at Campbell's resort across the street with our families we wont be giving this place another try.

My advice stick to Campbell's resort restaurant, Fonda, The Bistro, Blueberry hills, or the local pizza spot. Really any...

Went for an early dinner on Sunday May 28, 2023. We were excited because it was the first time we’d been since it reopened with new owners. We walked in and stood at the hostess stand for about 5 minutes before the bartender came over and asked if we’d been helped. We responded, “No.” The hostess/busser then showed us to our seat. Someone came and gave us water and we sat there for 15-20 minutes waiting for someone to take our drink order. We finally got up and went up to the bar to order our cocktails. The bartender asked if we had a server and we responded with, “Not sure, no one has come to our table.” Just then a waitress greeted us at the bar and said she would bring our drinks to the table. There was another couple that had been sitting outside when we walked in. They too had to go up to the bar and place their order. The bartender asked a server to go out and help them and the server rolled their eyes. The waitress then stood at our table and complained about her other customers and that she had been at work since 10:00 that morning and was tired (it was around 4:00ish). She returned to take our order (we were a table of 4). My brother ordered the shrimp cocktail, my sister-in-law ordered the fried raviolis and a small garden salad, I ordered the chicken wings and a small garden salad, and my husband ordered the chicken satay. About 10 minutes later she returned to our table and said that our order got bumped out and she wanted to make sure she had the order right. She only checked with my brother to confirm that he ordered the shrimp cocktail. Our food finally came. My brother’s shrimp cocktail was fine, my wings were amazing, the salads were fine. We sat there waiting for my husbands dinner to arrive so that we could begin eating. We waited and waited and my husband finally said, “You guys go ahead and eat.” It had been quite sometime since we had seen our waitress. She finally stopped by the table to check on us and my husband asked about his dinner. She seemed quite perplexed and mumbled something we couldn’t understand and complained about her shift some more. We continued to eat and were finishing up when she came back again to see if there was anything we needed. My husband said, “My dinner and the check”. She finally brought out his dinner in a to go container. When we got home my husband opened his dinner and it was not edible. We won’t be back. So disappointing. We also had a disappointing breakfast that morning at our favorite...

I’m only giving one star because you have to input something. We booked our reservation for the weekend of the 4th of July (booked a month in advance). On Friday we started our weekend with wine tasting since check in is not until 3. As we wrapped up at 3 and prepared to go check in to the hotel, I received a call saying our room was booked out. Apparently “this happens when booking through booking.com”. Completely shocked this happened and after going back and forth with the employee to push for her to figure out a solution, as it is their responsibility, she finally mentioned there was 1 room available but for Friday only. She pitched the fact that it would be an upgrade because it was a suite. My reservation was already for the suite and was also a guaranteed booking as I chose the non-refundable option to ensure it was secured. The employee then proceeded to say she would work to get us a hotel for Saturday in addition to a gift card in the amount of $50 for their restaurant. The hotel they put us in was not just a downgrade, it was disgusting, dirty and the room was tiny. I have reached out numerous times with my frustration and have yet to receive a response. In addition to the lack of professionalism in follow through and customer service, the “solutions” they offered were completely ridiculous. I should have received a complimentary weekend stay and instead they gave us a dirty hotel and offered a gift card that could maybe buy a bottle of wine (which they never even gave us). I would not recommend this place unless you’re willing to roll the dice in having reservation issues and being potentially stranded or put in a...
