What a perfect spot to find for breakfast after three weeks in Europe! We stayed at the nearby DoubleTree overnight. Their breakfast buffet looked OK, but I thought maybe we could do better. I search Google for "breakfast near me" and Victoria's appeared as a 10 minute walk from the hotel. It is in a humble building in an unassuming residential neighborhood.
The breakfast combos come with two large fluffy pancakes, eggs any style, a large potato portion (I recommend the country fries), and a meat. The chorizo was a good choice. My son enjoyed a large serving of French toast. I would have liked to pay a couple of dollars less per entree, but a quality bargain breakfast may be a thing of the past.
We arrived late morning on a Monday. There were a handful of empty tables, but I can imagine a line waiting to get in on the weekends. The young man who waited on everyone was efficient, pleasant, and attentive. We were speaking English and Spanish, and he did the same in response.

Read moreI was in East Boston and searched "best breakfast near me" as someone who was born and raised in New Jersey when a diner popped up that was the place to go. Victoria's did not disappoint. Not at all fancy, inside or out, but clean and a very welcoming crew working there. The coffee was hot and fresh and the food was EXCELLENT! I had a breakfast combo with two pancakes, two eggs, two pieces of bacon and home fries. My partner had scrambled eggs with chorizo, fried plantains, refried beans and tortas. The eggs were perfectly "over easy", the home fries were the best I've had in years, and the pancakes were large, tender and hot. The scrambled eggs and chorizo disappeared before I could try them. The fried plantain was perfect. We visit this area regularly. Victoria's will be part of our routine each...
Read moreThe potato ladke benedict is delicious, and I would recommend a different devliery packaging technique to make them even better! Currently, they're delivered in styrofoam boxes which causes the heated food to sweat and condense back onto the food, making the food a bit soggy. This can be solved in a number of ways: one, poking a few holes in the top of the styrofoam to help it vent should help a bit. two, packaging the food components seperately to avoid the moisture of other items condensing in the same container, or three, using some sort of paper packaging that would help absorb some of the moisture; also, paper/cardboard packaging is much better for the environment! :) You might consider a combination of these things, like venting a paper/cardboard...
