Benny Lucchetti's Pizza — Restaurant in Chesapeake

First time here at about 1:30 Wednesday afternoon. A friend and I had just got there and One customer had sat down with her pizza slices and one of the staff yelled to her that they had given her the wrong slices and had asked her to bring them back. Already not a good impression from that. Then I see that they're serving these humongous slices of very soggy Pizza on the cheapest white paper plates and putting two under each slice of pizza which still is not big enough so it's going to hang over the edges and touch the tables which had not been wiped off from the previous customer. And as I stated previously, the crust was very soggy and the toppings were two inches away from the edges of the pizza where the crust was so hard it was almost inedible.. they looked very big the edible part was not. I'm not sure what the health rules are but they were all the raw ingredients with their bare hands as they were making the pizza. And for me the taste was just average so I may or may not go back. 7/21/24 visit --- Just heard of this place thru the Nextdoor App. since the restaurant doesn't have a sign up yet (didn't know about this place yet). Decided to give them a try after reading some comments and Google reviews. I love pizza, not a pizza snob , but I like a good pizza (has all your food groups in a slice, lol). Anyway, seen that pizza was $45.... but then realized they only have ONE size. HUGE!! So we tried a 'slice' to see if we liked it first. I had the garlic mushroom topping and wife had cheese slice. Well, I like a thinner crust (less bread) and fold-ability, and their pizza delivered BOTH!! I love garlic and the garlic mushroom topping was great! I will be buying a whole pizza in the future and get like multiple meals (dinner/lunch/dinner) because I don't mind leftover pizza. I've ordered for pickup through Door Dash and also ordered inside for takeout, and it's official: I love this place! The slices are HUGE and about the equivalent of 3 regular slices from other places and ridiculously delicious. The staff was very knowledgeable about their production process and the atmosphere is family friendly. Even though they were slammed busy they treated every customer with patience and professionalism. The owner should be proud! Also, they have those old timey like sodas and a backroom FULL of arcade games. I'm pretty sure Benny's is going to become a locals' favorite. 10/10 would...
