Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Chesapeake

This is the first review I've given on anything ever. The professionalism at this DQ, on April 28 2018 at about 5:20pm, was horrendous. As soon as i walked through the doors i hear an employee shouting to everyone behind the counter that some place, i assume McDonalds, shafted him on his order of chicken nuggets and how he's going back and storms out. Then standing in line was Juan (an employee) on his cell phone in uniform leaning back just having a good old time. He states multiple times hes clocked out and starts yelling and joking with the other employees behind the counter working. One being Assistant Manager Hayley. Not only does she not stop any of this rediculous behavior she feeds into it. Then the another employee goes to the second register to help the lady behind me. (I can't move out of her way to order because JUAN is leaning on the hand rails in everyones way!!) Half way through taking the order over my shoulder of the lady behind me the kid just walks away.... someone then asks this same kid to make an order and hayley proceeds to say, "Oh he doesn't make food, he can he just chooses not to." Sadly i didn't get that kids name but i will be glad to return to point him out if a manager reading this would like to remedy whats going on at his place of business. I realize some people might not take DQ as a serious job but if they want a different job when they get older they better learn how to be more professional. Also im writing this for the 6 people behind me that had to wait for 10 + minutes to also deal with this ridiculousness. They Get 2 stars because of the top half of my medium tasty smores blizard. It was awesome. The bottom half... well that was just plane ice...

Had a chili cheese dog with mustard and onions for $2.79 and have to say, it was pretty tasty!

The sauce was meaty and the ground meat tasted like actual ground beef and was not at all mushy.

The cheese is processed and thin sliced; not grated like in the menu pictures. And our cheese was below the sauce.

Regardless, the hotdogs tasted like the good quality dogs served at baseball games, and the combo of good dog, melty cheese, chili sauce, onions and mustard made my tastebuds happy for the short minute and a half it lasted.

Enjoyed seeing Dairy Queen...

We went to get an ice cream cake and it was just packed with people. My son grabbed a cake that he liked and politely went up to ask the manager if she could put a Puerto Rican flag on the cake….. she paused and looked at him and before she could answer a young lady from the service line jumped in and said I can try if you show me a picture. Let me tell you that she was a gem. Great customer service and just a wonderful attempt and trying to put a smile on my son’s face. Cake was awesome. It was fresh and had a lot of cookie crunch in the center...
