TL;DR: This store is at least 80% likely to mess up your online (encouraged) order. Consider getting Moe’s, Qdoba, or Taco Bell instead.
This is the fourth of five times in 2 years that I have made an online order for this location that I have had any kind of issue. In this order, I was missing both bags of chips (received the guacamole cups though 😂). I didn’t realize until I got home, so then I debated what to do. I tried to report the issue through the Chipotle App’s ‘Pepper Chat,’ however, it did not want to receive any of my messages, so then I tried calling the store for an automated voice to repeatedly tell me to use the app 🤡. Agitated, I made the drive back to the store, walked in, and saw exactly why 80% of any orders are messed up: no one who works there cares about the quality of their work or the importance of brand representation. I noticed that no single person manned the register, but instead it flowed between 2-3 people who also helped make the walk-in orders and retrieved dirty food containers from throughout the kitchen for whoever was on dishwashing; the food preparers did just that; the drive thru/pick-up order personnel just continued to work on orders; and no one cared to ask how they could help the man who walked up to the pick-up area, nor the man who was there before me, nor the man who walked in after me. I would say that Chipotle HR should check on the store and their management should check on their performance, but I seem to recall that Chipotle does not have an HR department and do not recall seeing any evidence of any kind of management. After waiting 15-20min, I left without being engaged, bought some Tostitos chips, and went home to enjoy my food with my wife.
-2/10, I would actively tell someone to consider ordering from...
Read moreI love Chipotle and miss my Virginia Beach Laskin/First Colonial Rd and Nimmo/Upton Rd Chipotle locations because I rarely had any issues with my orders. Since relocating to Chesapeake and visiting the 100 Coastal way location off Battlefield blvd. My order 90% of the time is inaccurate, missing items, or rarely completely fulfilled. I haven't ordered from this location since October 2023 due to my last order during that time being inaccurate. I decided to give them a try again this evening 12-21-23 and placed an online order and picked up via the Chipotle lane. Because of the inconsistencies with my previous orders I usually check my orders before leaving the restaurant. I regretfully did not check my order this time and when I arrived at home, yet again my order was not fulfilled correctly. It is so disheartening to pay money for a product and to not receive what you paid for. At this is point I am feeling like If I absolutely crave chipotle then I will drive out to Virginia Beach or find another alternative that values order fulfilment. I'm tired at this point and I don't want to keep contacting Peppa or the contact us link when it's obvious that they haven't corrected the issues from my visits . It's pointless to keep beating dead horse at this point for me. Just finally sharing my personal experience. (Not to knock anyone’s preferences, but I did not order a Burrito bowl with rice, beans, chicken, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, and lettuce). 😔
12-29-23 (Friday) My husband went to Chiptole located at 836 Eden Way off Greenbriar. I ordered a bowl online while he was out shopping and he picked it up. My Burrito bowl was fulfilled exactly how I placed my order. I will go to this location...
Read moreI use to be a manager at this location when Vanessa was GM then transitioned to Ken as GM. I left in 2021.
Left the gym yesterday, got there around 5/530 because shift change is at 4 so all things should be fresh, stocked and fully clean and welcoming. And it was..but the food was awful. It was fresh but no taste. I know how it should’ve tasted.
There has been absolutely no consistency in taste. Everything is bland.
The best thing was the sour cream. Honestly. Not trying to be funny at all.
I remember how much salt and lemon juice goes in the the hot and cold items (the ones that need them). And there was literally none in any of them. If there was. Be a little more heavy handed.
The main ingredients for every thing that needs an additive it’s literally SALT and LEMON or LIME juice or just salt. That’s it, besides the extras for the mild and corn.
The current GM is very strange.
Another thing. Why is it so hard to portion the ingredients for the vinaigrette.
It’s on an indestructible laminated sheet with how much of what to put in to get the same taste every time. It’s good on a good day and that’s rare for this location.
What I feel should be done to maintain the previous consistency is micro management. In this instance it’s needed. You don’t micromanage unless you have reasons to do so.
A Field Leader should do a random TASTE TEST.
And for this location to be a Certified Training Location blows my mind.
I pray Ken is the GM for the new location near great bridge middle. His management is by far the best in all of the locations I’ve been to in the the area and Abi S.
I would like someone to contact me because both bowls weren’t good at...
