Thank you Antonio for ruining my night. I come by here at least 4 times a week after work, but tonight was the last straw with you. The first poor interaction with Antonio, he overcharged my card by $10 plus dollars, so I started giving him cash. I literally just left the ATM and came to Cookout for Antonio to tell me my money was a fake, not only that, but he cursed me out. He went and got his manager, the manager was trying to show him my money was real, but he said On God it is a fake. I told him to hand it back and take my card. He literally cursed me out in the drive thru, his manager was laughing, coworkers were laughing as he is literally cursing at me. I asked for his name, which I already knew it from his first poor interaction, he told me hell no and closed the glass in my face. Antonio is a very poor example of what Cookout represents, and to think this location has him at the drive thru speaker talking to people anyway he wants. Well Antonio, you win, I will never come back to this Cookout. I will tale my $50 dollars a week to another restaurant.

Usually this place is good. But tonight it wasn’t. Our soft drinks were very watery like the syrup bag should have been changed out for a fresh one, the third tray I ordered was not at all what I ordered but just a duplicate of the second tray that was ordered, and the hush puppies on the first tray were burnt and the cheese bites were bordering on being burnt too. I didn’t how much they messed up my order until I had gotten home and was handing it out to my family. Like I said usually this place is good but tonight was just straight bad. I would have said only 1 tray out of the 3 ordered didn’t have any problems but that isn’t true because the soft drinks were all watered down. Not to mention while I was in the drive thru line some random guy on foot was able to cut in and place an order. That’s no only a safety hazard but also disrespectful towards everyone else that had been waiting in line. The person at the drive thru shouldn’t have even taken his order.

I polite gave my order and asked for Cajun fries for both sides and they gave me only one side of fries with no seasonings whatsoever and had it spread out to make it look like double fries when it wasn’t and they added way too much salt to the point I couldn’t even eat it. For my second tray , they purposely didn’t give me any sauces after politely telling her which ones I wanted (3 times) even though she had an attitude the entire time, she acted like she couldn’t hear me speaking clearly and politely through the speaker. As I pulled up to the window the two girls were negatively speaking on orders, not just mine but others customers as well. Are they there to give their opinion or take orders in a professional manner? Clearly they need more training or better workers.

I use to like Cookout, that’s when people valued customer service. Twice the company where I work a few of us have decided to order out for lunch. They chose Cookout. About 7 people ordered that particular day. 3 out of the 7 orders where wrong. Today they decided Cookout again. We had a total of 5 orders. My coworker and I went there to place our orders. We decided to go in instead of the drive thru because I thought there would be no way that the orders could be wrong and it would be faster. WRONG! We waited about 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged. Ok order taken. The floor in the area kitchen area was standing water, the girl at the front side drive thur was just throwing the food trays that where prepared to go out. A guy that was working the other drive thru with blonde hair ( he was African American) came to wait on the people in the line that had formed. Another lady who was giving out the food orders called out a number and it was evident that it was for drive thur because the guy with the blonde hair said these people are pissing me off. The people in line some how got their food before we did. Again we get back to work and 2 orders are wrong. No we didn’t check them before we left because we didn’t want to touch anyone else’s food. Did I mention it took about 35 minutes or more. It’s very clear that the Cookout can not handle doing large orders and the customer service was...

Went through the drive-through. Got to window, realized I needed another sweet tea. Guy at the window tried saying I only had 1 tea and 2 shakes. I know what I ordered and on my receipt it even had 2 teas and 2 shakes. Got my drink after attitude from the guy at the window.

Get home. Food is good, portion sucks for onion rings and cheese bites a common issue with this location). If y’all are gonna up your prices, stop skimping me on portions. They forgot my cheesecake. I called the customer service number already too and nobody answered (surprise). Also, completely unrelated to this visit, but the last 3-5 visits, for the love of god, PLEASE put some dang mayo in your coleslaw! I’ve stopped ordering it because everything I get it, it is DRY!

I really just want a refund for the food I paid for and did not receive. Why can I make a complaint at any other food place online and get a refund (and even some coupons) but not with cookout? It’s 2023, y’all need to get it together like Chick-Fil-A. I am not driving 30 minutes back for this. It’s ridiculous. I see the owner is replying to reviews so when you see this, I’d love to figure out a way for a refund. This location is terrible in both staff and management and the somewhat cheap food is the only reason I...

The way Jamar handles employees is unnecessary. He speaks and text them all types of things that a General Manager is not supposed to say or do. Tells them to clock out and still expects them to stay and work when he gets upset. Now, my child is a minor employee. Who after school still goes to work and will work on days that they were short staffed. It is a shame with all these complaints he still has not been retrained or mediated for his actions towards his employees. I understand how stressful things can be while working fast food, but something's should NEVER be said to people who you want to work for you. Respect is given as well as it is received. I have raised a Very respectful child and Jamar has really pushed him to an angry spot where my child may not return. He doesn't value his employees, and they wonder why they can't keep no one at this location. He is supposed to be leading by examples and is failing as a general manager. I'm so disappointed that my child's first work experience is under him. Now, if it something that Jamar is unhappy with he should retrain his employees instead of snatching hours and telling...
