I visited Lava Fried Chicken and Teriyaki last month. The location is easy to find, right across from Chesapeake General Hospital and next to Freddy’s. When we walked in, the place was clean and well-organized. The menu offered a wide variety of choices, including hibachi, teriyaki, fried combo meals, and à la carte options. We decided to try the teriyaki chicken, hibachi chicken, and mozzarella sticks. (Just a heads-up—the mozzarella sticks don’t come with marinara sauce, no sauce) The portion sizes were decent for the price, but, as mentioned in other reviews, the flavors didn’t quite meet expectations. It was just okay—lacking the boldness of flavors we were hoping for, and the sauce didn’t really come together. While I’m not sure I’ll return, I would still recommend giving it a try...

Me and my family came here for lunch. We have been so excited for this place to open just to be highly disappointed the food is under seasoned and not something anyone should waste their money on. Now let’s talk about the fried cheese balls.. they are inedible they are soft dough with cheese and then sprinkled on top is some sweet cheese powder which is absolutely disgusting. I think they need to make some changes personally. Fried cheese balls, shrimp hibachi, chicken teriyaki hibachi and a fry… $58.00 The place is so bad even Ryan trahan couldn’t find a way to give this place a 5 star review. The fries didn’t even have salt on them and when asked for salt they brought me a container of it.. not a packet but a Togo...

Very disappointed...lava fried chicken misleading on menu. wanted a good fried chicken meal...asked about the 3 pc chicken combo and girl told me yes regular chicken ordered that and got my order and it was three small wings fries and 3 mini hushpuppies...menu should say "wings" combo...makes you feel like they have regular chicken and I specifically asked and was told regular....if wanting regular fried chicken don't go here

3 piece chicken combo usually means breast wing thigh..I asked your girl at counter and she said yes regular chicken.... If she would have said no wings, I would have left and gone down the street for what I wanted. any other place of business clarifies on menu what your...

Came here on a Tuesday and they were closed. No hours of operation on the window, and Google showed they were open. Needless to say, I submitted a correction. Came back the next day and the food was good-pricey, but good. I won’t visit again because I feel like the cost doesn’t match the portions. Four dumplings were $8. Idk, in this economy I’d rather make them at home. lol. I love how cute the place was inside they had some games, and plenty of seating. It was very clean inside the establishment. The honey garlic chicken lacked garlic flavor, but it was fried to perfection. Everything was good, but it was unforgettable. Check it out for yourself. You may love it, I only like it.
