I visited Lava Fried Chicken and Teriyaki last month. The location is easy to find, right across from Chesapeake General Hospital and next to Freddy’s. When we walked in, the place was clean and well-organized. The menu offered a wide variety of choices, including hibachi, teriyaki, fried combo meals, and à la carte options. We decided to try the teriyaki chicken, hibachi chicken, and mozzarella sticks. (Just a heads-up—the mozzarella sticks don’t come with marinara sauce, no sauce) The portion sizes were decent for the price, but, as mentioned in other reviews, the flavors didn’t quite meet expectations. It was just okay—lacking the boldness of flavors we were hoping for, and the sauce didn’t really come together. While I’m not sure I’ll return, I would still recommend giving it a try...
