Changing my previous review. Never ate inside before. Ordered once during height of covid19. So here we go. Stopped in on 3/27/21 around 730pm. Decided to go in to eat because old lady never been there. So we walked in and sat down. Waitress/bartender asked if we were eating. We said yes. She brings us the menus I asked if they have a beer menu, she responds with What you see is what we have or what you see is what you get one of those. She points to the bar. The bar is dim and not lit sorry I can't see in the dark. She walks off, old lady asks what they have to waitress an she gave her attitude So I get up an go to the bar and I'm 3 feet away an struggling to see the beer selection in the dark. So I sit back down and at this point I'm getting angry. I get you're the only waitress so I will give you a buffer on courtesy. I order a beer, She tells us let me know when you figure it out an had an attitude towards my old lady. So That was it. I went from saying No Tip to Not getting my money. Its one thing to be rude to me but rude to her Unacceptable. We decide to leave an the waitress says I got your beer you ordered and I said Too Late as we were already by the door. She said with a raised voice & attitude have a good day.
Will not be getting any money from me/her. This was her first experience and my first experience trying to dine in. The owners need to get their staff in order because this type of attitude will turn customers away. If I could give zero...
Read moreNow this is what I know. I'm gonna talk about the wings and the sandwich my wife ordered. I absolutely love wings. Buffalo Wild Wings has just become absolutely nasty and neglected on many different levels. I will not go anymore. I find Myself at Skeleton Key. And these wings were absolutely beautiful. And yes, I know good wings. It was spotless clean from what I could see. I'm not sure about the kitchen because I wasn't in it. Hopefully, it's spotless as well. I will return and purchase these wings because they were just dynamite. My wife's Sandwich was a nice-sized portion. The fries were plentiful. But hopefully, they can firm those up a bit more. They were a little flimsy. It's important to have nice, sturdy, light crunchy French fries if you're gonna serve them. So, if you're in the area, it's worth stopping by. Prices were maybe 2 dollars, 2 and a 1/2 dollars high. But it evened itself out with portion size and deliciousness. The blue cheese dressing was made in-house. It was good, but they could turn up the creaminess a bit. But still good. The Au jus dipping sauce for my wife's sandwich. Definitely needed more salt, a little onion,, and some rosemary. And it would have enhanced its overall flavor. It has to have more flavor. Or else it's just flat beef broth. A typical bar atmosphere,...
Read moreLocal bar/restaurant. I walked in, and immediately knew that it was a local favorite. Folks spoke with the bartenders (who also served as waitresses for those not at the bar). I ordered the Rueben and fries, and a drink (Woodford, neat). TV's had on a variety of sports, the locals were talking to each other and the bartenders, and the place had a cozy welcoming feel. Most of the clientele (weekday dinnertime) were middle-aged (myself included) or a little older, so not filled with college folk or a younger crowd (in case that's what you are looking for during...dinnertime?). No idea what it's like later in the evenings or on weekends.
Everything was clean, the service was quick, and the food was good. I enjoyed the Rueben, the fries, and of course, the whiskey. I'd be happy to come back here for food any day of the week. I saw a number of folks order pizza and take them away, so it seems like their pizza is also good, but I did not have first hand experience with it. There are a few longer tables which would allow for a group of 10-12 to easily sit together near the bar and enjoy their time.
This is not where to go if you are looking for an upscale dinning and bar experience. This is where you go for a comfortable local bar with decent food and good pours, at a...
