15% more expensive than the nearby competitor and pooched my sandwich order last week, selling away the last bagel flavor I ordered to a customer several people behind me.

To whomever responded from Gabes Bagel below:

1. I appreciate your response and its tone. Thank you.
2. Yes, you offered me an alternative favor that I wasn't interested in. You may have said you'd make a fresh batch but that would've required waiting a good long time in gym wear on a cold morning. Not desirable.
3. What you should've done (and should do for all your customers going forward) is pull the chosen flavor, put it aside or (as I asked for in this case) simply ask the later patron to give back the twice sold flavor and honor the initial transaction!
4. When the above was pointed out to your sales person, he even as much admitted that that was the correct solution yet when asked to do so, simply shrugged and refused...thus signaling to me that as a paid-in-full customer, I was inferior or subordinate in some way to another customer (who hadn't even paid yet). Put yourself in my shoes and ask yourself why you should accept...

We were in town for an event - stopped by at 2pm on a Saturday 8/1 (The google hours said this business was open till 3pm that day) - the counter worker was very rude, and we did not feel welcome at all, he actually denied our request to get something at 2pm - told us he was closed. Went back the following day to give the place another try. Same guy was working.... felt like I was bothering him the ENTIRE TIME and then proceeded to ignore us basically when we were checking out. The bagels and their various spreads are amazing, but someone needs to get ahold of this guy and give him some customer service training because...
