I'm not sure why Chester has a reputation for a trendy street shopping area. The road is busy, too busy for easy/safe pedestrian crossing, there are no closed-off streets, there are few interesting stores, there's really very little of redeeming value other than the Publick House, with a recent great top to bottom renovation. Not really wanting to rate 3 Stars. I just feel you need the truth. Very expensive the area has become through the years. High end stores competing with mom & pop stores. Fantastic restraints in the area and lots of parking. No more Flea Market or Larson's Turkey Farm. Ashley Farm's has grown and also became more expensive. Look forward towards Morris County Events...

Used to be a great place to take family and go shopping from st on store to store and get a bite to eat. Since they closed the flea market, the Turkey Farm and built a couple of outlet stores, the crowds of people stopped going there. Because of the decline of people the place appears to be run down. Big loss...
