Hobby Lobby — Local services in Chesterfield Township

I was in this store on 12/11/17 and was looking for a picture frame for my granddaughters artwork. A young man that worked there walked by and helped me after my wife asked him to find me so that I would answer my cellphone. I couldn't find a frame the right size so he walked me to the back where their larger frames are. He walked me through the isles until I found one that I liked, but it had a small chip in the frame. The young man offered to order another one or to check the inventory of another store. I asked him to call another store and he happily obliged. The closest store had one so he asked them to hold in under my name which they did. The young man was paged up front, I thanked him for his kindness and his help and we parted ways. He is the only reason this review has two stars. After he headed up front his manager stormed by me without a simple greeting and yelled at the two women in the frame shop asking "Why was he back here?" Referring to the man who had helped me. He accosted the two of them and was very rude to them. He walked by me quickly angrily mumbling to himself and ignoring me and other customers near him. In all my years I have never seen such rudeness and attitude from someone who is a manager. I will never return to this store because of that interaction I saw. I am so divided on Hobby Lobby. On the one hand, they have everything for practically every hobby and tend to carry a greater variety of stock than either Micheals or Joanns. However the owners have a very strong religious policy that discriminates against LGBTQ people and other beliefs. They have fought hard in court to protect these policies, and have even had a case decided in the Supreme Court in their favor, setting policy for the rest of the nation. And they are always closed on Sundays. I admit I still shop here due to their wonderful product selection, but I feel guilty about it and try to go to the Micheals next door whenever I can. Michael's has a better coupon policy (Hobby Lobby only offers 1 40% off coupon per visit and will not accept competitor's coupons), better coupons, and often has better deals. At the very least, comparison shop if you are going to shop here. I have also found some of the same products cheaper on Amazon, even after you factor in the 40% off coupon (which will not work on clearance or other already...

Purchased 5/26 2 large pots and 2 plants trays. I noticed when I got home the two large pots were half off but the two plant trays were full price. Went up to the store today with the receipt and two plant trays to either get a price adjustment or return since they did not scan on sale, the cashier Becky was extremely rude the return was in a dollar tree bag and she figured since I had a dollar tree bag she immediately said we don’t carry this. I said I just was here yesterday and she said well they are in a dollar tree bag. That’s because the planters are still in the hobby lobby bags. Then she continues to question that they don’t carry them and has another cashier check which of course you do carry!
