Tabla Restaurant STL — Restaurant in Chesterfield

I initially had high hopes for this restaurant, especially for Bangalore-style food. The recent experiences have been disappointing. Twice, the thali for take-away was missing items compared to dine-in and poorly packed. They should ensure consistency in thali content for take away also as we are paying the same price as dine in. Additionally, providing curbside options would be appreciated (They have, but seems offended if we ask for) as not everyone can easily reach the food court inside the mall. The taste has been inconsistent; a fantastic breakfast combo one weekend was followed by a bland, worst taste the next. Maintaining a consistent taste is crucial. Furthermore, the online ordering menu lacks variety, with only chicken biriyani available. Special items like Ambur biriyani, Thalapakatti biriyani, breakfast combos should also be included. Lastly, the dum biriyani was too bad and bland. I hope the restaurant takes note of these points...

Food is ok and customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. Sorry to say this people of certain parts of India were given preference over the other part. Had to wait forever for our food but if you are from there preferred part, you get food right away. They could have easily put the board they only want to serve half of the Indian population. On asking for food, they are getting agitated and shouting at us. According to them we do not have the right to be frustrated after waiting for 1 hour for our food. The guy in the kitchen was nasty and have to ask him to come out and deal but he didn’t. Haven’t seen such hostile...

I am stating this review after learning more about my experience as customer. It’s best to be empathetic before posting review as it’s livelihood of some people. Give a chance to correct.
