Duck Donuts — Restaurant in Chesterfield

My absolute favorite doughnut place of all times!! My family and I stopped here twice on our trip to St. Louis and I wish everyday that we had one in Dallas. The owner is a very sweet and nice lady. The doughnuts are amazing and you can create your own! That’s awesome! My favorite is actually their doughnut breakfast sandwich, it just melts in your mouth. It is truly wonderful. My mouth is watering just thinking about it 😂 This place is an absolute gem. A must stop for people who love doughnuts or people with kids. My son loves getting to create his own doughnuts. He’s favorite is the strawberry glaze, sprinkles and powdered sugar doughnut. My favorite, besides the breakfast sandwich, is the maple glazed bacon doughnut. My wife’s was the key lime doughnut. For a chain Donut place, Duck Donuts is not too shabby and worth a try. The customization can be a bit overwhelming for someone like me, but luckily they have a bunch of premade suggestions that are all good choices. We've been there a few times now and the donut itself is good and then the variety of icings are mostly all pretty good. When you order a donut your main source of flavor will be from the donut and the primary icing of choice. The additional drizzles and what not don't really add much flavor and in some cases, the sprinkles actually detracted from the flavor of everything else and I generally don't mind sprinkles. Donuts! Made hot and fresh, right where you can watch. Lots of variety, like Blueberry Pancake or Bacon in the Sun.

The donuts themselves are one base flavor, a light vanilla cake. You can watch the machine pour the batter right into the hot oil, then flip them as they travel down the chute.

When they are cool enough, they are glazed and topped. I got Bacon in the Sun, which is maple glaze, topped with real bacon and a caramel drizzle.

Prices are reasonable and there is good variety. Staff is friendly and quick. Definitely a place I'd go to again.

And the ducks? TONS of cute rubber ducks, at only a buck or two each. Giraffe ducks, zebra ducks, Minecraft ducks, aliens, bees, butterflies, dogs... Take your kids for donuts and get...
