Relax The Back — Local services in Chesterfield

We have purchased several items from this store over the years. We recently made a purchase of a sleep contour and knee rest package. Because of my wife's size, we were told by a physical therapist that this would not work for her after her shoulder surgery. I went to return it still unwrapped in all the original plastic covers as removed from the store - they would not return it. I was told they would not return any sleep items - which neither my wife or I recall the sales person saying "It Is NOT RETURNBLE". I do recall saying if the item was opened it would not be returnable (which it was not. When I returned it the salespeople said there woud be no way to tell if were open. SERIOUSLY!!! It is packed so tight you would have to be Blind and Dumb not to know it was opened. I will never set foot into that store again and I plan on telling ALL our friends, relatives and acquaintances of this experience. WHAT APOOR WAY...

This is a life saver for my back trouble. I went to the store 4 times until I was sure which chair would work best with my specific needs of both sitting up straight for meditation and being fully reclined in zero gravity. Tara and Lisa were wonderfully resourceful with helping me brainstorm to reach the right decision. My experience was so positive also because they were personable and generous with their time. When you are struggling with a physical challenge this kind of shopping experience makes all the difference. Buying such an individually tailored product online would have ended up in something like too short of a backrest, or a seat without sufficient cushioning or not enough support. Update 8/2021: while the store was helpful, the chair that I purchased didn’t live up to expectations. I bought the Humanscale freedom chair with headrest. While I bought the chair at a discount from Relax the Back, I’m concerned about the quality. This is not a cheap chair with price hovering around $1K. The chair has been noisy with creaks and have only gotten louder and worse with time. A google search would show this is a common complain about the chair.
