What I got was good, but make sure you get what you actually paid for. I ordered a large smoked salad and added marinaded steak to it for an up charge. Photo attached… see any steak? Nope. Ordered two calzones. The one that was eaten tonight was good. The one for tomorrow was ordered with extra steak. We will see tomorrow if I actually got that or not. Food is good, just make sure you actually check everything before you leave to be sure you got what you paid for. Edit: Dropping the food review to 1 star. Having the 2nd calzone now for lunch. Sure enough, as I suspected... the extra steak I PAID for is not in there. A small, pathetic amount of steak at best is inside the calzone. So if you pay their upcharges for extras on a carryout order, be absolutely sure you open every box and inspect your food to be SURE you got what you paid for... or you apparently won't get it. It's sad because the food is otherwise very good.... but if this is there way to save a buck and increase profits it's a pretty self defeating way to do so. I'll never be back.

This place is a phenomenal addition to Chesterfield. In very few restaurants have I ever felt more cared for. I have a cheese allergy and my fiancé loves the cheese that causes it. I don’t blame her, the cheese is delicious. Sauce always goes the distance to make sure that our meals come out correct and delicious. Whenever there is an inconvenience, a team member or manager goes the distance to correct it. Both managers are fantastic. Our favorite Sauce employee is Jessica. She’s quite honestly one of the best employees I’ve ever been helped by in any establishment. There’s another employee who delivers often and is also awesome, female, short brown hair. Calzones are fantastic and Sauce makes them the best. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and plenty of tasty ingredients. If you don’t like calzones you can pick up a monstrously large and delicious salad. The seating is plenty and even on busy nights there isn’t a long wait to eat. We hope Sauce lasts there for years to come.

Don't get me wrong it is good but they need to learn how to put a calzone together right. I ordered the fold and added borsean cheese (may have spelled that wrong) and pepperoni. As you can see in the photo all the pepperoni are just in a stacked in one spot, the cheeses are all randomly in spots in it but none of them covered the entire thing. I want to taste everything in every bite. Not have a bite ricotta only, a bite with borsean only, and a bite with all my pepperoni in it, etc. Please learn how to properly put these together.

It bums me out to have to give Sauce on the Side a less than stellar review. We had not ordered from SOS in over a year, as our last two orders were prepared wrong. Missing ingredients or wrong ingredients, and by the time you get the food home it's just too much of a hassle to bring it back. After a year long hiatus, we optimistically ordered carry out.

The order was super simple. A "Magic Carpet Ride", and two almost identical "Folds" (Build Your Own) -- Mozzarella, Sausage, Pepperoni, and on the second add Bacon. Opened the order at home. The "Magic Carpet Ride" comes with minced garlic...but it wasn't minced, it was chunks of garlic, and loaded with garlic, like garlic was the main ingredient. The ingredients were essentially correct, just not sized or proportioned correctly.

The "Fold" with bacon was made correctly. No complaints!

The second "Fold" was wrong in a major way. Mozzarella, yes. Sausage, yes (but like the smallest amount possible to still be counted as included - I ate all the sausage in two bites). Pepperoni, nope, not close... Pineapple. And not just a little pineapple, instead the most generous amount of pineapple in a "Fold". As an FYI, the order was read back to me correctly over the phone, it was correct at some point during the ordering process.

I can't do it again. They make great quality food. The staff is super friendly. Unfortunately, they just can't get...

We came here for the first time last night & we weren’t a fan. The calzone’s are filled mostly with air & are very doughy. There is some stuff in there, but it looks huge when they bring it out & was mostly all air. I got mine & cut it open to realize all the meat in mine was still frozen. It’s kind of pricey, too. It’s about $10 & some change for the calzone & it doesn’t even come with a drink or a side. The lady was really nice & said she could make me a new one or put mine back in the oven. My husband ate his & shared it with our 11 month old daughter. About 45 minutes later my daughter projectile vomits everywhere so my husband cleaned it all up & the guy who worked there was very nice & helpful by getting us paper towels & a mop so my husband could clean it up. When we got home my husband started throwing up so something in his calzone was bad as they both puked all night long, I’m assuming the cheese, but it could’ve been something else in there. The price isn’t worth it, the food was alright, but mostly all air & then the calzone making them puke made out for a bad...
