The Curry Club — Restaurant in Chesterfield

I visited The Curry Club for the first time a few weeks ago. I went around noon and got the Lunch Special, which includes two curries, flavored rice, and some naan bread. Based on friends' recommendations, I asked for two servings of the butter chicken. I also got the mango drink... which was not my favorite. I'd still recommend trying it though since it apparently was addictingly yummy to one of my friends. To each their own!

So happy to review that the butter chicken was the BEST I've ever had in my life!!! The rice and naan were flavorful but not overpowering. The curry itself had a perfect spice level for me (I can't handle spicy foods at all generally) and more than enough food (very good as leftovers). I don't think I ate dinner that night... So full. But! It wasn't an uncomfortable fullness, and it didn't mess at all with my tummy as a lot of curry places do.

As for the restaurant, the seating area was pretty good. Quiet, roomy, and had cleaned off table tops. I will say that there was that common stickiness that a lot of restaurants have - a little on the table and floor. I tend to bring wipes wherever I go since this might bother me more than others. We had a group of about seven people and there was an empty table available immediately, which was great. No reservation needed for this big of a group. Parking also was no problem at all -- Accessibility seemed very high here.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I'll be bringing my husband soon since he's never had it and I can't stop thinking about the curry. SO. YUMMY. Good price, absolutely fantastic food, and helpful/friendly service. Make sure to...

Masala Dosa and Vada -definately crispy , would rate it better than I have had at some other places in St Louis Sambar and tomato chutney - not bad Peanut chutney - not at all authentic or even tasty for that matter Coconut chutney - not available to our dismay Chicken biryani - Not for someone who lives for biryani and have had it for several years in south of India, esp when some restaurants here already offer pretty authentic southern tastes and 'more' especially if the owner(s) hails from Andhra! Pretty commercialized taste to my surprise...

All in all ,didn't hate it or loved it...but I might definately try idli sometime or go back for dosa/Vada only...

15th May 2022: Please avoid their breakfast combo today as it has an insect in it. I returned the platter and left requesting them to throw the upma and not serve it any further,but goes without saying that im disgusted by the level of hygeine ....im not sure if its a day today thing or it was just a one off as I am not a regular here but i did like the taste of the food here but the taste does not superceed the health!! I could have very well filled a complaint in consumer court but i think every business deserves a second chance and patrons health should be taken seriously. I am not sure if i will ever return to this place but i hope the owners will take some action and care a bit more about people taking an effort to come to eat there...the three stars i gave earlier are no...

Just now had food in this wonderful place. Ordered multiple items. Thing is like as wednesday we have ordered the special item Pachi Mirchi Boneless of 4 count... and they have said like only two are available and we took those two and in place of other two we got bejawada biryani as replace. And the star item which was the Pachimirchi Biryani but tastes completely as Pudhina Rice. I dont know why they have mentioned like Pachimirchi Biryani... that was a pudhina rice and the taste was extremely worst. When asked for replacement they said like no replacement and we just thrown our plate in the trash that has the extraordinary tasteless pudhina rice. And then one guy came asked we will replace it and then they gave one more star item Bejawada Boneless Biryani and yes that was so worst that we haven't ate not even a single bejawada biryani from two. And one more Star item so called Rumali Roti....which is exactly is like tortilla... Don't know why they have mentioned the name as Rumali Roti and in that the Chicken Lagaan.. that was one more worst item... And the remaining items * chicken 65 biryani is good compared to all those "STAR ITEMS" & stuffed michi bujji was good*.... Naming as Special items and making it as different item (pachimirchi to pudina) and that differest item taste was also extremely worst..
