I love Sonic. I grew up in Oklahoma, so it's a childhood favorite and reminds me of home. THIS location is hands down the worst I've ever been to, and I travel nationwide for work.
I started going exclusively to the one across town because of how awful this one is, order one or two things in the app, ahead of time, get there, check in, and wait 20-30 minutes, then have rude staff act like you're an idiot. That happened SEVERAL times, so we switched to the Greely Ave one, which is much better.
Still, I wasn't going to leave a bad review, complain, etc, because I haven't been here long, maybe they are short staffed, maybe someone is on leave, etc.
Well, today we were on this side of town, it's my husband's last day in Cheyenne before heading to Maine, and he wanted to swing in and get a shake. We literally just ordered a small shake and a Dr. Pepper, order ahead in the app, at 2:37pm, and stopped in with only two cars in the drive in.
Twenty minutes later, I pushed the speaker button. Someone snapped "we'll be with you shortly."
I waited five more minutes, then tried again. Nothing. Repeat. Nothing. I tried the drive through. It literally was not moving. Backed up, pulled in, and got out. I went inside and asked about my order.
The cook at the grill looked like a cool dude. The car hop and the "general manager?" Rude ah. Neither one looked old enough to buy a drink, both were defensive, hateful, snotty, and completely unapologetic. Just "Yeah, so what?"attitudes. He literally said, "We're human." As though I had insinuated otherwise, lmao. If he thought I was being a Karen, I cannot imagine how he'd react when someone actually was.
You're humans who absolutely suck at your job and wouldn't know customer service, the industry in which you've chosen to be employed, if it bit you on the butt cheek.
Save yourselves an hour of your life you'll never get back and just go across...

I went thru drive thru 3:55 pm in line 2 cars behind the order mic. 60 degrees windows down and I can hear the lack of service. No orders where being collected for mins. Then that vehicle pulls forward lady in front of me sits for mins in silence waiting for order to be taken. She orders a coke with extra ice and she is a small 4 door suv type. Okay she pulls forward my turn 4:07 guys tells me 1 moment. My dogs are barking at car behind even a gentleman comes from store to take a break. Couple mins later a young girl is ready to take my order. I give to her and move forward whrn I got to window then a young man opens windows tells me price. I tell him his delay in orders is the reason I seem to be pass 4pm dir happy hour dink special he argues then tells me he will get manger who is another kid. He argues tells me he was doing drinks and my order was after 4. Of course cause I've been waiting in line. Tell him the samething and I then tell him to write his name down. I'm not going to argue with a child my sons age on mothers day. Horrible.Manager walked away after I repeated what was his name when I didn't see it on the receipt he gave me. He didn't take ownership or responsibility to had the rest of my bust him and the young man who went and got him walked away. change comes and it's a dime. I gave you $20 I have remind. The young lady I believe who took my order took ownership. Getting my food and drink and came again to give me my CORRECT change. The 4x I usually come is, now...

It took them 3 minutes to answer the page that i wanted to order, and then was told they'd be right with me. At that time another vehicle pulled up to the drive thru. Another 5 minutes went by, and the first car that was there, finally drove off. Still waiting to make my order, they took yet another order from the drive thru. Waited another 4 minutes, and after my order still not being taken, I went to Taco John's down the road. After getting my food from Taco John's to go home I had to drive past Sonic and the first car they took a drive thru order from, AFTER I was told they would be right with me, was at the window waiting for thier order.
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST Sonic I have ever been to. And this isn't the first time for this location.
This was just too long not to FINNALY let the rest of the public know. I seriously don't understand how this Sonic location is staying open. I know that all the food is supposed to be the same no matter the location, but this just doesn't take quite like the others.
Mabey is psychological after having to wait so long to get food after you order it. If you ask why I kept going back, it has always been hoping for a quick & convenient way of getting some food.
