Nestled in the heart of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Destination Taiwan is a charming tiny hut that packs a big punch when it comes to Taiwanese cuisine. Despite its modest exterior and lack of indoor seating, this little gem is a true culinary treasure.
The authenticity of the food is unmatched, making it stand out as the best Taiwanese food I've ever had, even rivaling dishes I've enjoyed in Taiwan itself. Every bite is a flavorful tribute to the rich culinary heritage of Taiwan, prepared with care and skill that truly captures the essence of the cuisine.
What truly sets Destination Taiwan apart is the incredible service and friendliness of the staff. In this case, the dynamic duo behind the scenes is none other than the owner, a Taiwanese native, and his daughter. Their hospitality is as warm as the flavors they serve, going above and beyond to ensure every guest feels like a welcomed friend.
The owner's passion for sharing Taiwanese cuisine shines through in every dish, reflecting years of dedication and love for the flavors of his homeland. This passion is infectious, creating a vibrant and inviting atmosphere that makes dining at Destination Taiwan a truly memorable experience.
The vibe of this small hut is cozy and intimate, creating a sense of community that adds to the overall charm of the dining experience. Despite its size, Destination Taiwan exudes a sense of authenticity and tradition that transports diners to the bustling streets of Taipei.
During my extended stay in Cheyenne, Destination Taiwan became a weekly ritual for me. I found myself drawn back time and time again, not just for the incredible food, but for the sense of connection and warmth that the owner and his daughter provided.
While it may be a small hut, but it is a powerhouse of Taiwanese flavor, hospitality and will provide the best food you can find for hundreds (if not thousands) of miles . The authenticity of the food, the exceptional service from the owner and his daughter, their unwavering passion for their craft, and the cozy vibe all come together to create a dining experience that is truly special. If you find yourself in Cheyenne, don't miss the opportunity to visit Destination Taiwan – it's a culinary journey that you'll want to embark on...

First time here, based on google reviews, during road trip. One word—INSPIRED.. I was there four days ago and it haunts me everyday at every meal time.. I wish I could live there.. but I’m in Arkansas now.. thank you staff of destination Taiwan—you’ve refreshed my outlook on good food and world class service. Truly. As Arnold says, “I’ll be back..!” And hopefully with an even bigger order and a bigger tip. (Remember me? I was there with my lady friend. And I had a big order. And I shook your hand, Yue. And I couldn’t stop thanking you guys..) bless this place and it’s people. You’re doing wonderful things.
I ordered/ate the scallion pancake, red bean pancake, just about each kind of bao (seriously), Taiwanese jiajiangmien, sesame cold noodle.. it was a big order because dad said to get a lot.. apparently it wasn’t enough, as I mention! Lol.. each dish and bao were uniquely delicious!!! What?? Yes. Now THAT’s excellent cuisine.. the black bean noodle (jiajiang) blew me away because I grew up on that dish, and yet this one tasted way more authentic than any in the past.. the purple taro is drool worthy.. it was just right.. all of it.. I don’t need water because tears of joy as I eat. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
Read moreDesination Taiwan offers an exceptional experience. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Delicious food, amazing service, unbeatable prices. I called in my large order (a sampling of all of the steamed buns) and the friendly staff patiently guided me through the descriptions of their offerings. Upon arriving 15 minutes early to the adorable location, I was joyously greeted by the staff who offered me a pommegranite green tea while I waited. The lovely people of Destination Taiwan were so generous, giving me several free samples - wow the banana torta is amazing. Now to the Buns... Oh. My. Goodness. These are the best buns I have ever had in the U.S. they are soft and fluffy on the outside and deliciously flavoured on the inside. The filling stayed perfectly in place with no leakage. It's really hard to choose, but my favourite of the savoury options is a tie between the Tofu and the Chinese Spinach... and the cabbage 😅 seriously, they are all so good! The Tofu option tastes just like pork but much healthier -- a little sweet, a little spicy, BIG flavour! The Spinach is more subtle and refreshing. The cabbage reminds me of spring roll filling inside a fluffy steamed bun. The sweet options were all equally amazing. If you are looking for something really special, try the Taro and the Black Sesame 💖 I also tried the Taro Milk with added boba. It is utterly divine. Not too sweet, but creamy and filling. The passion fruit lychee drink was delightful, too. Thanl you so much Destination Taiwan, I can't wait to come back!! This...
