I've been here several times, and in my opinion it's great but I have a few problems. The food itself is delicious, the portions are quite nice and balanced since there's so many vegetable options, I've spent only $20 on a full bowl of noodles, veggies, a drink, and a cookie. I recently tried the half rice half noodle and it was incredible since everything is so fresh and balanced that every bite was filled with flavor. The vibe is very relaxing, but since it's so busy the staff can't always sit down to clean down everything, I have seem some water spilt and sticky tables, but they always make an effort to clean what they can with real cleaner and do everything with a smile. My biggest complaint is how filling the food is. I'm a student that gets an hour break between my classes, usually around 12:15, when im done waiting, ordering, eating, and returning to my campus, it's usually 12:30-12:35, but by 3:30, im usually hungry again. It's not a problem for me since I get home around that time, but if you have evening classes or work past 3, then the food won't keep you satisfied for long and you'll have to buy something else. Overall an amazing place that gives good portions, delicious food, and healthy options for a great price, but only if you only have about 2-3 hours of work/school afterward while being conscious about what you're eating and its...
Read moreBIBIBOP Asian Grill on Jackson Ave is a fantastic spot for healthy, customizable meals, and it’s incredibly vegan-friendly! I built a bowl that was so fresh and flavorful, I couldn’t wait to dig in—which is why I forgot to take a picture. But trust me, it was absolutely delicious and did not disappoint!
My bowl started with a 50/50 mix of purple rice and lemon turmeric rice (yellow rice) as the base. For sides, I added black beans, roasted brussels sprouts, and potatoes, topped with shredded carrots, roasted corn, and just a touch of kimchi for a flavorful kick. For my protein, I went with their perfectly seasoned tofu. The combination was both vibrant and satisfying, with each ingredient complementing the others beautifully.
To round it all out, I enjoyed a warm bowl of miso soup and a refreshing glass of hibiscus lemonade. Every bite was packed with freshness, and the meal was as filling as it was delicious.
I can’t wait to return and try their sweet potato noodles, which I’ve heard are just as amazing. If you’re downtown and looking for a quick, healthy, and customizable meal, BIBIBOP is an...
Read moreI have tried all the Chicago area Bibibops. I am updating this review 10-22-24 bc I appreciate the attention and consideration by the team. Thank you. Smallest in size but it doesn’t matter to me. There is no parking but that’s expected in the downtown area. It’s right across the street from DePaul University. The more important things are: food portions and taste of the food and the peace and atmosphere of the store. The portions were originally the smallest here but when I returned after my review the portions were bigger thank you! The Korean K-pop music is totally fine w me and it was no longer too loud that my ears did not hurt. I did not have to put my noise canceling AirPods on like last time thank you. My personal favorite is the Des Plaines IL location. Generous portions and food was very fresh and the location is super clean. Free and easy parking there. Nice thing about this location downtown is that it has a bathroom which is always nice to have. Overall I love Bibibop and I appreciate having a downtown location.Thank you again for listening … means the world to me bc I...
