This location is my favorite Dunkin, but on a morning I dropped in with some friends, I had to revaluate. Their were 4 of us, and not fully sure what we were going to order, we stood out of the way and figured it out. We weren't in the way nor causing any interference with other customers or staff, it was definately less than 10 minutes. So I didn't understand why when we went to order, the female employee who was behind the counter said that she wanted us to leave and refused service, stating that we were loitering and a nuisance. Firstly, I don't understand where that came from, as I referred to earlier, we were minding our own business. Second, if anyone were causing a disruption, wouldn't the staff have said something to whomever it was causing the disruption? It shouldn't be a surprise to whomever is being kicked out, if you'd been made aware already, that you were being disruptive. We made her aware of our intent to place an order, as we'd just spent some time figuring out what we wanted. The employee backed down and took the orders, two of us ordered through the woman while the other two made an online order, bypassing the whole charade. While the drinks and doughnuts were being prepared, the employee began to be very apologe3tic and informed us of that they get a number of people in the lobby who just sit and don't order, and that they are punished for allowing that (sititng without ordering). Giving her the benefit of doubt, I didn't instantly want to challenge that. Taken at face value, if the management are punishing the workers for allowing customers to sit in their restaurants who may have not ordered seems like an issue that really isn't an issue.

Could not make my order via the machines and instead had to go to the counter to make it (turns out the order could not be made because they had run out of what I wanted, but this was NOT shown by the machine and that functionally SHOULD exist in a modern machine in 2024).
Made my order with the teller, ordered churrio/vanilla latte, donut and breakfast sandwich. Gave something like $3 tip on a $7-8 order. The order was quickly called out but it was for a vanilla latte and sandwich, not the churrio-variety and no donut so I thought it was for someone else. Kept waiting, and waiting. The staff saw me wait and no one asked me. After 4-5 minutes the teller noticed me and asked me and I said I had ordered a churrio/vanilla late. ONLY THEN was I informed they had run out and instead just given my the vanilla kind. Meanwhile they had forgotten the donut which she then packed.
The coffee was burnt and scorching hot and tasted bad. The donut was try as a brick and the sandwich was not how it was when I had had a similar one a few...
I hate that I have to do this, but hopefully this gets to the right people.
I am currently waiting for my drink behind another 8 people. I'm in no rush whatsoever and made sure to let the ONLY EMPLOYEE know this. The worker here tonight is behaving so professional and kind considering the situation she's in.
As I walked up to the counter to place my order, the online orders receipts started popping up behind the employee. 8 online orders in total. She held it together, but I swear I saw the pain in her eyes as she let out a soft sigh.
Another customer got the courage to ask, "are the other folks on break?" This employee, with a big smile just said "No. It's just me for the night. This is how it goes here. This is normal." We're honestly in awe, watching this poor woman bust her butt by herself like this. She deserves a raise for sure, but I really hope that whoever runs this location really hires at least one more person for the night shift. The area can be very shady at night, and having a one man team like this could...
