I shopped there today, and every single employee that I encountered (except for one was completely rude to me, for absolutely zero reason)! It started off with the dressing room attendant. She was busy when I first came back there, but then she was immediately rude, instead of just nicely asking to assist me and count the number of items I was trying on. I had one extra item, over the limit. So I placed it on the rack that was right near where she was standing. She then insisted that I move it somewhere else, even though I was doing my best to help her out. It was honestly laughable how ridiculous how poorly she was talking to me, when again I had done nothing to her.
Then I went to go wait in line. They have a number system that tells you which register to go to. But I see the customer at the register right in front of me finished their transition, so I moved there to be helped next. Right after that I was scolded for not waiting for them to tell me which register to go to. Again this was entirely unnecessary, and just poor customer service. I really just wanted to get out of there by this point. But the cashier was taking a very long time folding my items. I told her that the folding was not necessary, I just needed them off the hangers. I know that she clearly heard me, but continued to take her time, and continue doing it, even though I told her I would like to just take my items and leave. I don’t know what kind of training is provided here, but almost the entire staff could use a lesson on how to be friendly and helpful. I will DEFINITELY not ever return to...
Read moreDecent place to browse and possibly find something brand name maybe you'll find your size. Or maybe you want something for the home, quite a few things there... My son found a nice button up shirt, a fanny pack he wanted and some led light fixtures that were funky. So, nice my for my son... Me, didn't find anything. But an unexpected surprise at checkout! Cashier asked if I wanted to join rewards and get an extra 10% off, I asked how long that would take she said 2 minutes. I said okay... a few basic questions popped up on the screen, I answered... the it asked for my SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER... My response was that the question was too much for a rewards program... cashier silent... she said tap agree... I agreed, what the heck it was for a rewards thing... NOT ONCE EVEN DID SHE SAY IT WAS FOR A CREDIT CARD!!! I DON'T WANT NOR NEED ANOTHER CREDIT CARD. SHE NEVER SAID TO READ TO ALLOW FOR A CREDIT CHECK TO BE RUN. SHE JUST SAID TAP AGREE... It should be made crystal clear that you're asking someone to apply for a Marshall's credit card... A deceptive practice to ask for someone to JOIN the rewards program and not mention that it's a credit card. I don't shop Marshalls and probably will never shop at a Marshalls again. Take your stinking credit card, it was "pending" so as I checked out and don't even think I received a 10% discount. Last thing I wanted was a hard inquiry from a...
Read moreI am a customer of Marshalls, and I really like the store, but there is one employee I have to mention. I don’t know her name, but she is over 50, has black hair with a lot of gray, usually wears it in a ponytail, and wears glasses. She is Latina, and unfortunately, her attitude toward customers is horrible. Not only does she treat people badly, but she also seems to enjoy making people uncomfortable. I've seen her roll her eyes at customers, talk to them in a condescending tone, and ignore them when they ask for help. Sometimes, she even gives rude responses to simple questions, and I've personally been insulted by her, as well as seen her insult other customers. She doesn’t seem to care about her job or the customers at all. Some people even avoid going to her register, and if they are already in line, they switch to another cashier to escape her attitude. She makes the entire experience of shopping at Marshalls unpleasant and frustrating. It's honestly shocking to see someone with such a bad attitude still...
