Have you ever tried Detroit-style pizza? We tried it for the first time last year, but Five Squared is beyond comparison! Five Squared = Five Stars! Square-shaped slices. Thick, buttery crust. Soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Cheesy with creative, unique toppings. Fresh, high-quality ingredients. If any of this sounds satisfying, get this pizza ASAP! Ordering begins on Monday for delivery/pickup on Friday. Check out their Instagram profile on how to order and their weekly menu! šŸ•Slices we ordered: -PBnJ: pepperonis, bacon, pickled jalapeños, red sauce (yes yes yes and yes) -Cheeseburger: ground beef, caramelized onions, American cheese, homemade classic burger sauce (I would buy a bottle of the sauce!) -Nashville Hot Chicken: Nashville hot breaded chicken tenders, comeback sauce (spicy and delicious) -Spinach & Artichoke: creamy spinach & artichoke mix (sooo creamy and dreamy) -White Pie: ricotta-based white sauce, mozzarella, pecorino, ricotta dollops (another fave) -Grandma: mozzarella, parmesan, fresh tomato sauce, fresh basil -Sausage: homemade italian sausage, red sauce -Pesto: basil, pesto, red sauce Hard to pick a top flavor here, there’s really a slice for everyone! Aside from the delicious pizzas, the House Salad came fresh and was the perfect accompaniment to the pizza. For dessert, we tried the Salted Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar and the Pecan Bar, the perfect ending to an awesome meal!

Truly some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Yes, you have to bake it in your own oven for like 10 minutes but it makes it SO CRISPY and it’s worth the wait. I have never had pizza with a crust this crunchy and crispy and delicious. I’ve ordered for pickup at their kitchen location, delivery through Instagram (I believe one of the owners dropped it off) and more recently through Caviar/Door Dash. A couple years ago I ordered the week before thanksgiving and popped the pizza in my freezer until my family was here. Since you have to pop it in your oven, freezing it briefly is no problem and it doesn’t impact the flavor (or the crunch) at all. You can choose up to 4 flavors in 1 box which makes the experience extra fun because of the variety! There are a bunch of regular flavors (tie dye is my favorite) and then new special flavors monthly. I’ve not tried the Stromboli yet (because I love the pizza so much and just want that) but I bet it’s also good. Today I got a peanut butter marshmallow brownie too- it was rich and tasty! Best pizza in Chicago, hands down (if you’re looking for something other than a ā€œChicago-styleā€ deep dish or tavern pizza). I recommend this to all my friends and family. The picture does not do this justice, I just can never take a good picture because I eat it too quickly when it comes out of the oven.

Fantastic Detroit style pizza operation busting out slices from a ghost kitchen. They release a menu Monday and pick up on Fridays, they always sell out! I love how they have rotation flavors and the fact that they get creative with flavors not usually associated with pizza. I have ordered with them a few times. I've gotten the vodka pesto pizza, the Cheeseburger bacon jalapeno, the buffalo chicken, the gyro, the cheese steak, and the Italian beef. All the toppings were great, can't really go wrong with any flavor. The italian beef surprised me the most and ended up being my favorite. The giardiniera peppers really made this slice pop. The piece that makes all their slices so good is the crust, nice, thicc, and fluffy. They also make sure every piece is a corner slice which just makes it wayyy better. Best detroit style pizza I've had and can't wait to go back!

Where do I even begin? First...YUMMY! Any review of Five Squared should begin with talking about how great the pizza is. Five Squared offers SUPERB Detroit-style pizza. I’m from Metro Detroit and grew up eating this type of pizza on a weekly basis. Five Squared does it right! The dough is this perfect combination of dense, light, and fluffy, with a beautiful crisp on the bottom and outer edge of the crust. I absolutely love how perfectly cooked the pizza is each and every time I get it (which is A LOT). When it comes to Detroit-style, I’m a BIG fan of the corner pieces. With Five Squared, EVERY piece is a corner! It’s heaven!

Five Squared offers a variety of different toppings, all crafted with care and high-quality ingredients. From the classics like cheese & pepperoni, to the creative and innovative, like cheeseburger and Italian beef. I haven’t yet tried a square I didn’t like, and I think I’ve tried them all!

Second, no review of Five Squared is complete without mentioning the owners, the heart and soul of Five Squared, Jenn and Steve. The passion and dedication they have for their craft is inspiring. I’ve been following Five Squared since the beginning. It hasn’t been any easy journey (COVID-19 threw a curve ball), but Jenn and Steve have persevered. They’ve innovated and pivoted like no other. I’m so proud of where they’ve taken Five Squared, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds (hopefully LOTS more pizza...and desserts...and appetizers...and drinks...cause everything they make is delicious)!

If you’re looking for high-quality, scratch-made, and great tasting pizza from some of the most dedicated and hard-working human beings on Earth, look no further than Five Squared. Just please, hurry up and place your order fast, because they sell out quick!

I can’t wait to see what Jenn and Steve have in store...
