Where do I begin... Food: My sister and I ordered the King's Sampler and the Chicken Pesto Pizza. The Buffalo Chicken Wontons were hands down the best we ate (that night and) from the King's Sampler. It was very saucy, meaty, and had a nice crisp. The cheddar bites, spring rolls, and pretzel bites were all just okay and basic in taste. The Chicken Pesto Pizza was dry and bland in flavor. We asked for ranch and marinara sauce on the side to make it bearable to finish. A pizza should be able to stand on its own in flavor, and this one did not. Service: When we asked for ranch and marinara sauce for our pizza, our server took a good 15 minutes to return with it. It shouldn't take that long to get sauces in tin cups. This place was more than half empty. She disappeared after this. When we wanted to close our tab, she was nowhere to be found. We even asked other staff about wanting to close out. THEY COULDN'T FIND HER EITHER. Roughly a good half hour. She magically reappeared after another staff member finally was able to give us our bill. We decided to ask her for a bag for our food - that took another 15 minutes. When we asked another server passing by about bags, they muttered something quickly, and kept walking. So much laughing amongst the staff but not as much care or respect towards customers. Atmosphere: This place has good potential for entertainment given a few arcade games, 10 bowling lanes, and a few pool tables. However, if service for food is anything like it is for entertainment, it may not be worth coming here for. Seems like it could be a good outing for groups, but customer service is in serious need of improvement.

Great location.  Food was good.  But overall communication is where Kings missed the mark.  Person taking our reservation told us one thing and wasn't consistent with what we were later told.   This led to an issue with our bowling reservation, which wasn't brought to our attention until after we had spent $150 on food and drinks.  When we tried to talk it thru with a manager she was very unwilling to even try to communicate and help us come up with a solution.  She just got frustrated and walked away.   Our server was very friendly and helpful but that is where the customer service ended.  Bowling lanes could be updated.  Pinsetter in our lane had to be reset 3 times in one game.   Balls are returned at such a speed we were afraid someone may get hurt.  For how much we spent, we left feeling like our money would have been better spent elsewhere.

I chose to celebrate my birthday here this past weekend. It was my first time and I thought it would be fun. It wasn’t as packed as I thought it would be but the waitress did take a long time. We waited about 15 minutes after we were seated before we were able to order drinks which took almost 30 minutes. We were patient and even asked the sever if everything was okay to wish she said she was swamped so we left it alone. We finally ordered food (veggie nachos, bourbon burgers and the pulled pork) but the food was very dry. We patiently waited for the birthday surprise but didn’t get one. It was a meh experience but we made the best of it. Unfortunately, we will not return.

I never post reviews for anything and if I do it's only for something positive. However, I feel as though the management at Kings hasn't made an effort to resolve a charge issue back from March 6th, 2021 so I'm hoping if they see this they might be willing to contact me and resolve it. Our group of 4 had reserved a lane, ate, and had a few drinks like we've done before as we've been here a few times over the past 3 years. We were told that we had to place a card down but at the end of the night could pay in cash which was great. Once we received our check I took my card back and someone from my group placed a cash payment + gratuity. I noticed a few days later that I had a pending charge on my bank account which i didn't think was a big deal since i knew my card was the one on hold while we were there. But then on 3/8 the transaction posted.

I called and was connected to David on 3/11 to let him know what had happened. He was super pleasant and stated that he would look into it and would get back to me with an update shortly. He contacted me the next day to let me know that he is trying to figure out why I had been charged and would connect with the server we had that night to see where the cash had gone. Then I called on 3/19 since I hadn't heard anything and was told that he was still trying to figure some things out and was told by the server that he had thought the cash in the checkbook was all a gratuity and he had took it. David also had told me that they had the receipt that showed we indeed paid with cash but someone had signed to charge my card. He then told me he would be calling me that next Wednesday (3/24) so that he could touch base with his manager. I still haven't heard anything back.

I'm just pretty disappointed at how this situation has been handled. I've always enjoyed going to this establishment and never had anything like this happen before. I was pretty hopeful that they would help resolve this given the responses I was getting when I called but it seems like i'm going to have to start the disputing process...

"A Memorable Holiday Bash at Kings Bowling in Lincoln Park!"

I recently hosted a holiday party at Kings Bowling in Lincoln Park, and I cannot express enough how thrilled I am with the outstanding service we received. The entire experience was nothing short of exceptional, making our celebration truly memorable.

From the moment we walked in, the staff at Kings Bowling went above and beyond to ensure our party was a success. The level of professionalism and attention to detail was impressive. The atmosphere was vibrant, and the decor added a festive touch that perfectly complemented the holiday spirit.

The service was the highlight of our evening. The staff members were not only attentive but also friendly and accommodating. They seamlessly managed every aspect of our event, allowing me to relax and enjoy the festivities with my guests. The personalized attention they gave to our party made us feel like VIPs.

The bowling lanes were in fantastic condition, and our group had a blast playing friendly games. The energy in the venue was infectious, and it created a lively and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone. The combination of great music, delicious food, and a well-stocked bar ensured that our guests were thoroughly entertained throughout the night.

Speaking of food, the catering at Kings Bowling was top-notch. The menu offered a variety of options to suit all tastes, and the quality of the dishes exceeded our expectations. The flavors were exquisite, and the presentation added an extra touch of elegance to our celebration.

In conclusion, Kings Bowling in Lincoln Park exceeded our expectations in every way. The impeccable service, festive ambiance, and attention to detail made our holiday party an absolute success. I would highly recommend Kings Bowling to anyone looking to host a memorable event. Thank you to the entire Kings Bowling team for making our holiday celebration...

We had a great time, ultimately, but I have to be honest I do feel like I sort of got the runaround when booking/getting organized. It took several back and forth emails and phone calls with the events manager to finally understand that there was no option cheaper than $58/pp for any sort of event.

There was no menu shared with me that clearly stated the price breakdown, and when I asked questions I didn't feel like I got straight answers. I was informed that that $58/pp cost was inclusive, but found out after paying the deposit that it was pre-tax/gratuity. So it ended up being $80/pp for my party of 9, bar not included. Which felt QUITE expensive for what we got!

By that point it was too late to book anywhere else, so I just went with it. The food was adequate and it was nice to have free soft drinks but I definitely don't feel like I got $80/pp worth, especially considering it was a cash bar on top. Plus we each only got to play two games (and we were playing fast and paying attention)!

I really wanted to love Kings, but I don't know that I'd plan another party there. I will say the manager Jason was helpful, and they made sure to bring out a nice sundae in honor of our birthday celebration. They also played along with silly party names and helped us reserve a table afterward to keep hanging out for a bit... but I still felt overall like it was not the most above-board experience. I'm bummed about that!

I think there's a way to have a really fun party there. The atmosphere is fun, they have music videos playing with nostalgic hits, and the vibes are casual and chill. I think having one lane with 3-5 people could be perfect. But for group events that aren't corporate, it seems they haven't quite figured out the balance yet.

Thanks Kings for hosting our birthday party, and hopefully I'll see you again with a smaller...
