Kinsley — Restaurant in Chicago

Changed my route to the office this morning and decided to pop in here because there was no lines = no waiting - big mistake! There was literally one person ahead of me in line for coffee - it took a while for them to take our orders, but they have a mobile ordering system, so maybe they were working on something. 10 minutes later for a latte for the lady ahead of me and a mocha for myself - and it tasted just like any other coffee joint and was definitely $2+ than the joint in 1 S Wacker. The space was trendy and cool and if you’re not in a rush or you think 10-minutes for a coffee is acceptable, by all means give this place a shot. I work in the building and tried the place 4 times. The refrigerator chicken curry sandwich’s were ok but the price on the sandwich was 11.99 but the iPad shows 12.99. I pointed this out twice to employees who tried to get me to pay the higher price. I had to fight for the dollar difference both times. I tried the breakfast sandwich and today the lunch burger. Both were not good and not worth the price. Also every transaction is through the iPads so it is inconvenient if you have a question or issue. The burger did not match the iPad photo. Overall the atmosphere is nice but the food quality is low and prices too high. Management should get more feedback and rethink menus and prices or everyone will just go to Potbelly...

A huge shout out to the whole team at Kinsley, including the bartender, the manager, and especially Rodrick the cook. I come here often for lunch and the service and food is outstanding. Tonight I came for happy hour and left my phone in the unisex bathroom. Rodrick found it and gave it to the management staff. I ran in an hour later and they were all waiting for me and rushed to hand me my phone. I was so relieved that it was in a safe place with safe people. I’m very grateful that I work in a building with such an excellent restaurant who hires honest and kind people like Rodrick. The manager always calls me by name and the bartender was very attentive.
