If I could give ZERO stars I absolutely would…I am writing this on behalf of my sister because she hates leaving bad reviews but someone must tell the truth…I am hoping the owner will see this. The woman working didn’t acknowledge my sister for SEVERAL minutes even though no one else was ahead of her. My sister was the ONLY customer in the store. The employee blatantly ignored my sister. Once she approached my sister she had a very very very nasty, super dismissive attitude like she did not want to help my sister at all. All my sister was trying to do was pick up her very online order. My sister was extremely polite and respectful and the employee was the exact opposite. After my sister told her she was there to pick up an order the employee proceeded to go work on another task and ignore my sister even further. My sister is a BLACK woman. I have a feeling the woman was unfortunately RACIST because my sister felt extremely discriminated against. Why ignore her? Why be so blatantly rude and mean? Why make her feel less than human? The employee’s behavior was absolutely DISGUSTING for no reason at all. My sister and I have been long term customers of Molly’s for years and years but my family and I will NEVER return. We will not spend money where we feel extremely UNWELCOME and UNCOMFORTABLE.

Please learn to treat ALL customers the same regardless of the color of their SKIN. Every customer should be greeted and acknowledged properly when they enter your establishment. You made my sister feel horrible. It’s a shame that you can be going to do something as simple as picking up a cupcake order and encounter such disgusting unprofessional behavior.

Also, my sister said the cupcakes were NOT good at all. She usually likes the cupcakes but she said this time they weren’t good.

Again, please teach your employees to treat BLACK PEOPLE with respect and teach them NOT TO IGNORE THEM. My sister and I live in streeterville a block from your establishment but we will go out of our way to find another business that...

Seriously, Molly's has to be my favorite cupcake shop in the Greater Chicagoland area. When I visit any of their locations I always feel like a kid, except I have my own money to spend! LOL!

The River East (Streeterville) location is near my workplace where I can easily stop by before my drive home. However, depending on the time of day, you have to hunt for a park. Well today, I had some afternoon PTO, and when I driving in the area, there were two parking spaces available. I was quick to grab one!

Although it's the beginning of March, the flavor of the month carried over from Valentine's Day.

The first option was the VelvetBerry Cheesecake, which has red velvet cake with cheesecake baked inside, plus strawberry cream cheese frosting and topped with dehydrated strawberry powder.

I don't like red velvet cake of any sort, so I skipped that one.

The second option and the one I choose was the Berry-In Luv, which has strawberry cake, white chocolate mousse filling dipped in ruby chocolate ganache, topped with a strawberry buttercream frosting and a red heart!

Yes it was a lot going on, but my tastebuds were super happy.

I got 3 more traditional cupcakes for my home. The Peach Cobbler - you can never go wrong with this cupcake. No matter how many I purchase, I always get this one. LOL! I also got the hubby the Cookies and Cream and Samoa.

All in all, my afternoon was joyous because I was able to get a great parking spot and visit my favorite...

This was my first time eating molly’s Cupcakes. I heard great things...and they were all well deserved!! Oh my god!! So I decided to try 1 of the flavors at first; the chocolate raspberry. The cupcake was so moist and chocolatey!! The raspberry buttercream on top was fluffy and delicious!! The raspberry filling was super good but I would prefer less of it! Raspberry can be a very tart flavor and even with the chocolate and buttercream, the filling was more sour than I liked. But overall, A+! The cookies n cream had a moist cake, again fluffy delicious buttercream , & the chocolate filling was sooo good! Maybe they can try an Oreo filling inside!? Onto the samoa. I want samoa of that cupcake!! Lolbs. The caramel filling was amazing!! The coconut flakes were delicious. The combo of chocolate and caramel drizzle made it. Again, moist cupcake! Overall the cupcake is an A+! The marshmallow chocolate combo on the s’mores is to die for!!! My favorite is the Cookie Monster! I love chocolate chip cookie dough and that filling was top notch! The cupcake was fluffy and light. The buttercream was topped with chocolate chips and wasn’t too sweet. Overall, none of the buttercreams were too sweet, the cupcakes are light and fluffy, & the same can be said of the fillings! They were all great! I loved them! I’m a definite molly’s...

Discovered Molly’s Cupcakes while wandering near Navy Pier — what a sweet little gem of a café! They’ve got an awesome variety of cupcakes to choose from — classic flavors, seasonal specials, and even a few fun surprises (I tried a milk cake based). Bonus: you can actually customize your cupcake — frostings, toppings, the whole deal. It’s like a DIY dessert dream for adults 😄 They also serve a pretty decent cup of coffee, which pairs perfectly with the sweets. The café itself is really cute with cool, laid-back vibes and plenty of seating to relax and catch up with friends or take a break from sightseeing. Definitely good value for money — the cupcakes are fresh, generously sized, and worth every bite. Staff were friendly and patient (especially when I took forever to decide 😂). Only downside: there’s a small step at the entrance, so it’s not super stroller or wheelchair friendly, which might be tricky for some visitors. But aside from that, it’s a lovely stop if you’re in the area and craving something sweet! Will definitely be coming back next time I’m downtown.
