Nando's PERi-PERi — Restaurant in Chicago

I usually visit this place during lunch time as my place of business is walking distance but decided to try it out for dinner with my family . We waited 10 minutes before anybody greeted us, then we were sat in the back of the restaurant with limited space but a clear view of everything in the restaurant. After my husband came back from ordering, I went to ask for a booster seat , which they did not have but offered a high chair . I then asked for a different table as the original one was not suitable for a high chair.. when we moved tables , we were told by the obviously overwhelmed hostess that she would tell the food runner/server that we changed tables and fix our table number. This obviously didn’t happen as we watched several people receiving their food prior to us . Finally we were able to flag down the “ busser “who also seemed very overwhelmed if he could check on our food.. He begins to ask us if we moved tables? Then proceeds to grab our food and deliver it ice cold.... I immediately asked to speak to the shift manager , who knew immediately that they had messed up and straight up said to my face “ we looked for you for 30 minutes “ . I’m sorry, but this was a complete lie , as we had a clear view of the ONE server they had serving food , and not once did anybody come “ looking” for us. At what point would someone who paid for their food leave without getting their food? And at what point as a manager or server did you not think to figure out what happened? I asked to speak to the manager , and after asking for a full refund, he proceeded to try to place the blame on us for moving tables ? I was appalled ! Clearly sir you don’t know how to manage your shift and employees, because instead of apologizing and giving us a new meal you sent us cold food! Then blamed everyone else ?! Clearly they don’t have it together at dinner time, and they most definitely need more staff and a better manager in the evening. I do not plan on coming back . It’s very unfortunate because I have always recommended this place to my clients and customers and I will not...

This restaurant’s chicken is really one of the best. This place is definitely one of the restaurants I saw that has a nice interior just like the one this restaurant has. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, enhanced by those amazing works of art on its walls. The place is really lovely. Their staff are also lovely because they are nice and friendly. The restaurant is full. They have a wide variety of options on their menu. Another thing I love about this restaurant is their menu, which has a variety of options from different cuisines, and that is just really good. The service is somehow slow. I just ordered a chicken breast with fries and coleslaw. No kidding, their chicken is really the best. The chicken is full of flavor from the skin to the bone of the chicken. It is also tender, and it just definitely melts in my mouth. It is also spicy and it really gives an ice kick. The spiciness is added to the flavor of the chicken, which makes it even better. If we could show photos I would! This is sad 😔 I literally thought the reviews were ppl just not satisfied over time and because of the price inflation. When I tell u horrible I mean that! My food was left outside my gate with no call or anything when tracking I have 5-10mintues before arrival. And to make it worse the portions are in small containers even the "chicken breast" I will never order again! Chicken is burnt not grilled sweet potatoes are spicy not cinnamon and sugar or full like photos but tiny like chips and taste like paprika is on them! Mash potatoes are dry and looks thrown around in woody container and bread is firm and small (rolls are not rolls but bread cut in half & dry) rice is literally 4 small scoops and dry! The brownie is tiny when I say tiny portions I'm confused do they think they are feeding birds or people? If u have little to no appreciate...enjoy!
