Kababish proved to be a fortuitous find when I arrived in town late last night, desperately seeking sustenance after 12 am. As the sole beacon of culinary activity at that hour, the bustling scene upon entering hinted at a local gem. Remarkably reasonable prices greeted me, dispelling any concerns about late-night convenience store fare. The absence of photographic evidence is a testament to the immediacy with which I devoured my meal; it was simply that good.

The excellence of the food was evident in every bite, showcasing a mastery of flavors that left a lasting impression. The service, commendably efficient given the late hour, contributed to an overall positive experience. The establishment itself exuded cleanliness, a factor often overlooked but crucial for enjoyment. Additionally, finding parking was a breeze, adding to the convenience of the visit.

In retrospect, Kababish proved to be more than a mere late-night necessity; it became an unexpected highlight of my culinary adventures. I find myself not only willing but eager to return, a testament to the satisfaction derived from my initial visit. In conclusion, for those in search of delectable cuisine, reasonable prices, and a welcoming atmosphere, Kababish is a highly recommended choice – an experience I thoroughly enjoyed and would...

As a self-proclaimed connoisseur of delicious cuisine, as someone who's worked in a number of different restaurants, and as someone who's spent a great deal of time in Chicago, I'm not kidding when I say that the food at Kababish is some of the best I've ever eaten in my entire life. I walked by the restaurant one night and was blown away by the aroma I was fortunate enough to take in. My favorite dishes by far are the goat stews and curries that change every day. The meat is fall off the bone tender and is smothered in a beautiful symphony of herbs and spices that will make your taste buds jump for joy. The basmati rice is fluffy and is the perfect vehicle for any of the dishes that are made fresh daily, never frozen. Finally, the Naan bread is baked to perfection that will make any aficionado or foodie more than satisfied after taking a bite. Whenever you have a chance and are looking for something delicious to eat, go to Kababish BBQ & grill. Trust me when I tell you that you'll be back many times after the...

We loved this place! It was the first time we had Pakistani food here in Chicago and it could not have been better. Our flight was delayed and we didn’t end up getting here until midnight. My husband and I just started googling “halal Pakistani Indian food near me” and kababish was the # 1 recommendation on google for late night food spots. We had naan, Chapati, Keema Aloo, and Chicken Biryani. The menu changes every day but when I tell you that this food was amazing, it really truly was! We had the pleasure to meet the owner Mr. Riaz and we were treated so nicely that we felt very special! He asked us how we got to his restaurant after we mentioned we’re not locals, (we had ubered there by the way), he instantly offered to drop us off back to our hotel that way we don’t have to pay for an Uber back. He literally insisted and it was so nice of him. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to go back! ☺️ THIS SPOT IS A MUST TRY! THE FOOD WILL REMIND YOU OF “BACK HOME FOOD” FROM...

I will not affect your rating, but you guys are losing business because of these Uber and limo drivers. So many cars were not able to even enter your parking lot and they left and all these Uber drivers and limo drivers were standing outside chilling and enjoying and gossiping. It took me 15 minutes to enter and then it took me another 15 minutes just to get out of this parking lot, I went inside the restaurant and literally only seven people were eating food while your parking lot was filled with more than hundred cars.. friendship is one thing, but you don’t mix that with business in real world you are losing money. Every car space occupied in your parking lot is a customer lost for the moment so think about it and make calculations that how much money you will be losing on weekends. Food is great !!!

Tried Kababish this spring and have been coming back regularly since. Everything is delicious. Portion sizes are appropriately large for the ~$16 an entree will set you back. Besides the items on the listed menu each day will have different dishes available not listed on the menu that are laid out on the counter where you order so be sure to ask about those if they look good to you. They also serve chai which is so delicious, it’s not listed in the menu but just ask they are very nice. Naan is very cheap and made fresh, super good. Expect 15-20 minutes for an entree. Water is free just ask for cups, and pitchers of water can be found at the bottom of the drink fridge. Kababish is probably the most flavorful thing I eat all month when I come which is why I keep coming back, it’s so good.

Food: Delicious and authentic Pakistani/Indian food. Biryani (goat) was the best I’ve had at a restaurant in the US. House made naans, dal (lentils), and chicken botti kebabs were really good too. Nice too that it’s an open kitchen unlike most ethnic restaurants. So you can see how it’s prepared and see what the dishes look like before ordering Cannot choose spiciness levels, and the food is quite spicy. Ambiance: Very simple settings - imagine a hole-in-the-wall diner. small space with about 8 plastic tables along with plastic chairs. Order at the counter. When I came with my family, the only clientele were men who had just finished prayer. Staff is very friendly. Overall: come here for delicious, authentic food. But not if you would be bothered by simple settings or spicy food.
