Updating this review, original is below. I ordered today for pickup and received a text confirmation. As I pulled up I saw an employee walking out and get into a vehicle, which obviously wouldn't ring any alarm bells. However, when I tried to go in to pick up my paid-for-and-confirmed order, the doors were locked. I tried calling, no answer. I waited outside for 10 minutes, no movement. I verified store hours, which are posted as being open all day today, and there was no sign of any sort on the door. I have never, after years of ordering pickup from hundreds of restaurants, had something like this happen. Even assuming the store refunds my item and offers me an entirely free future meal (a HUGE assumption), I am still out my gas and commute. Extremely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. Beware.

ORIGINAL REVIEW This location is right next to my gym, but I just went here today for the first time. I got the chicken pita wrap with Mediterranean salad and garlic potato, and it was excellent. I've been pretty disappointed with Chicago food in general since moving here from LA about a year ago, but I finally found a place I will likely return to weekly. Price seems just a bit high for the size, but given the tastiness its not...

UPDATE: I’m super impressed by Olive. Their leadership took the time to listen to my feedback, wanted to hear about my concerns, and addressed them. Changing review to 5-stars. These guys are empathetic and want excellence. Thanks again for listening to me and looking guessing to being a consistent repeat customer.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Hate to do this - I would have rather emailed the company my feedback than having it be public. Searched your website and couldn’t find a submit feedback option. Can you please take my feedback and make the appropriate changes? I want to keep giving you my money and give you 5 stars.

We moved to the neighborhood. Found this gem of a fast casual Mediterranean restaurant. We get take out from here often. I want to express my experience from last Friday and today (Saturday), concerned this is now a trend.

Your hummus used to be delicious, now it’s watered down and tastes sour. Our orders would always be complete, today our server gave really small portions and forgot to give us the food we bought (only did we notice when we got home). Your server was not friendly today and he didn’t show good customer service (last week’s...

Food is great. Your website is bad. The soda fountain has been broken at your North and Sheffield location for like... half a year, maybe longer. What's up with that?? Your info at omg email shown in your website's T&C bounces back. Fix it! Now this is the most important part of my negative review: Why is steak shawarma not listed as one of the ingredient choices for build your own OMG plate? This is really aggravating because I can't order ahead for pick up on your website. I have to manually order this in person. Your website menu needs to be updated to accurately reflect what I'm able to order in the store. Also, your website feels clunky because in order to view the menu, I have to first pick a location and time for some reason. That's too many barriers to simply view your menu. You really need to improve customers' ability to contact you with these issues. I should not have to do this on...

I had just a week ago left a 5 star review. Unfortunately I had a very bad experience that I’m hoping is a one time thing. The staff was very rude. Which doesn’t usually bother me and they had been amazing the other times I’ve been there. however, I ordered a chicken schwarma pita. The pita looked a lot different than the 3+ previous times I’ve bought it. The Pita had waffle fries in it, which I’m not sure are supposed to be there? (I could be wrong, just have never noticed them before) and the guy didn’t use the toasted pita so it was cold. When I brought it back, they gave me attitude and told me that it doesn’t get heated up (again, i might be wrong, but thats how the pita was made to be every other time I’ve been there, with a toasted, hot pita). I’m happy to admit that I was wrong if that were the case. I was just left very confused and dissatisfied.

The place isn't Mediterranean at all despite the name. Definitely middle eastern. Also inspite of the name, they don't seem to carry a single olive dish/side/dressing. I asked for a salad with couscous. The employee looked at me as if I was crazy, despite couscous being on the menu, and pointed other sides with some couscous, but not by itself. The patron behind me asked a different employee for couscous and got a side of couscous. The staff is definitely under trained. They should know what dishes they serve. I guess the food was OK, but I can't say more than that. I'm not sure if the options are limited, because it seems that side availability is based off the employee serving you. Either way, just go to the Rōti across the street.
