Visited the location near Halstead and Clyborn. The food was good. Had ordered the Harissa Chicken. The guy who took our order was very pleasant and patient and interacting with him felt good. However the girls who came after asking if we need other toppings, man they sounded like they just got released from Auschwitz warden duty and landed in this Roti location. Fast food and other food joints should remember, people go to these places not just for food but also for experience. A good peaceful and pleasant experience. Please train your people to be pleasant . Train them to set their expectations from their chosen field of work fairly. You can't choose to work in a restaurant and be frustrated about low pay or whatever other reasons and take it on unsuspecting and low hanging fruits like patrons. A lot of these girls are very young and if at this age if you are not able to shield yourself from frustrations and anger then you don't have any hope for the future most likely.
Other than that, the location is amazing. Ample parking space and great shopping location. Apple store nearby and so is a Best buy. Wish they hired better people and trained them well to control their emotions and not just to cash out...
Read moreUpdate2: Happy to report that things are now working nicely, consistently getting my orders right. Good job! Update: So today Google asked me to update my review. Well, I love the concept of Mediterranean chipotle style fast/fresh food. Yet this location keeps on falling behind. Placed the order online, got the email confirming my order with pick up time. Get to the restaurant, the food is not ready, heck they didn't even start working on it. Asked the cashier about it. Was told they're working on it, watched helplessly other bowls being prepared and employees wondering around, all while my order kept on waiting to be picked up. Long story short, got it eventually after spending over 15 minutes waiting at the place. Had I just walked in I would have my bowl within 2-3 minutes. Nevertheless the food is good! They did improve on that part. Consistency and getting your orders right is another issue, but I will be coming back hoping that one day they will figure the...
Read moreGood for cheap fast (not authentic) middle eastern food. This is kind of comparable to a McDonald’s of Mediterranean food. The falafel is pretty good, bread is fluffy. Hummus tastes pretty standard for mass produced. Roasted vegetables/ broccoli could have more flavor. Most of the vegetables are pickled(I’m not a fan of anything pickled). The rice is slightly undercooked with a decent flavor. The couscous has good flavor with sweet dried berries to complement the overall more savory/ salty couscous. Overall, it’s edible and fine for an inexpensive quick meal but it lacks flavor and a variety of flavors. This is a shame. After all, there are so many delicious spices in the Mediterranean world, why pickle everything as though it’s a couple hundred years ago and everything is going to spoil if not preserved with pickling?! This restaurant is not for someone craving food from their home country or anything authentic but it’s a fine fast food...
